Try increasing the shadow blur radius in your light properties, see if that helps.
Thank you to replying to my poorly titled post (how the hell did I miss that error in the heading -- I can't even blame it on booze because (for once) I wasn't drinking!). I'll give it a shot tonight and let you know if it works.

Wow! I'm so honored to be included in this list. You guys did such amazing artwork! It's kinda funny because, just before I read this notice, I was actually working on an update to the illustration to fix some issues I saw with the shadows:

Thread: Just an Observation | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Truthfully, I agree with the OP. I'm really hoping to see Poser items dominate the Marketplace in 2020! (Of course, all of this would be moot if we had native support for G3 and G8 figures, as well as a way to use poses and expressions stored in DUF format... )

Thread: Adjusting hair | Forum: New Poser Users Help
hborre posted at 12:54PM Wed, 04 December 2019 - #4368151
Conforming the hairpiece is all you need to do to get it to sit correctly on Roxie, no need to make any parameter adjustments. Now, I am assuming that you are using Roxie as your Business Woman. Once hair is conformed to the figure, the trans dials will not work. Any morph adjustments must be made by selecting the head part of the hair figure then using the parameter dials to set the built in morphs.
Conforming hair USUALLY fits perfectly well, especially if it's made for the figure on which you are using it. However, this is not always true if you are using a lot of character morphs to change the general shape of the head.
First, load both the hair and Roxie in the scene. Then click on the hair and under the "Figure" menu, select "Conform." It should snap into place and fit perfectly. To be sure that it worked, try bending her neck and see if the hair moves with the head.
If it still doesn't work, I suggest you switch to parenting the hair to the head. This is a little more complicated, so you should probably go watch a youtube video that can take you through the process, setp-by-step.

Thread: What figures are best for Poser 11? | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Oh, and a quick note about Genesis and DSON. Yes, you can use Genesis and Genesis 2 figures in Poser, but there are limitations. The biggest one is that most of the poses and expressions that were sold for those figures do NOT have Poser versions available. At least not based on my experience. This means that, even though you have the figure, you'll need to do a lot of time-consuming work posing the body, limb by limb, and working on the expression and hoping you get it right.
In my workflow, I find it much faster to start with a pose or expression that is kind of close to what I want and then fine-tuning it.

"The... most versatile," eh?
Okay, this is strictly my opinion, but La Femme is just too new to the marketplace. There are almost no clothes, expressions or poses available for her. If you choose to use her (or Pauline, for that matter) you are going to have to do almost everything by hand. This will doubtlessly change over the next year, but for now I have determined that, for my own comics projects, she's not ready for prime time because of the amount of time it takes to do everything by hand.
Victoria 4 and Michael 4 can be had dirt-cheap over at Daz: just wait for a sale and pick up the base or pro bundles. You will then find a lot of content available for them, including hair, clothing, expressions and poses. You can also purchase many Elite and Morphs++ that will enable you to change ethnicity and body types far more easily than you can with La Femme. There are also a LOT of free clothes and pose sets out there for Victoria 4 and Michael 4.
Look, if you're on a tight budget, then sticking with the figures that ship with Poser is a smart bet. If you have a little money, you cannot go wrong by investing in Victoria 4 and Michael 4. Yes, those figures are more than 10 years old, but there's a reason that people like me still use them. They have ENORMOUS back catalogs of characters, skins, hair, ethnicities, body types, clothes, weapons, and scenes available for them.
Good luck!

Glad you figured out your issue on your system. As I said, my G2F responds exactly as it is supposed like any other figure. At least we have a solution. YAY.
Yeah, it's weird. But I thought documenting the solution would be helpful to others.

I just tried a new scene with a fresh G2F and I still get the response, whichever body part I select to turn invisible will do so in the Hierarchy window. The only thing I can suggest is clearing the preferences cache and reload the figure. I am assuming that you are loading the Genesis 2 figure from the Poser CF files, right?
I DID FIND A WORKAROUND
Load the figure with Subdivision on.
The body part will then be hidden.

To confirm, yest, I'm loading the characters from the CF files (I double-checked). Apparently, the problem is coming from the fact that, even though I am selecting the 'Subdivision Off' option, it is still on.
I cleared the Undo/Redo cache under preferences. Then I cleared the DSON Importer cache. Neither of those fixed the problem: I keep importing the figure with Subdivision turned on.

It may not be immediately obvious which named body part actually contains the geometry you want to hide in a DSON imported Genesis figure within Poser. Since dual-quaternion rigging requires that the twist axis be done on a different body part. The specific limbs affected by this are the shoulders, split into lShldrBend and lShldrTwist, forearms, split into lForearmBend and lForearmTwist, and the thighs, split into lThighBend and lThighTwist actors, with identical splits on the right side of the body. One of those two (Bend or Twist) will have the geometry you need to hide. I don't remember exactly which.
I'm not seeing any of the body parts you mentioned. This is what I see:
Right Shoulder
Were you describing the parts of Genesis or Genesis 2?
