WEll, I went through and started shuffling stuff around, deleting what I didn't want, etc. So far so good. I'm on plain vanilla P4, so no trouble with multiple runtimes and such. I've yet to hit the Mat pose files...keeping my fingers crossed...

Ah-ha! I KNEW there was a keyboard lock of some kind... Thanks guys--- got another question! Vicky with clothing on...how do I lock out the clothing from being selected when posing? I've tried posing her sans clothes, then dressing her, but then the clothes don't work with the pose (breaks, weird looking results, etc) I sure hope Daz Studio has better figure interaction...

Man, that sucks having to pick from a mile-long list. I've tried that before and got tired of it VERY quick. Not a complex scene, either, I just have ONE character to work with at a time.

D|S is Daz3d's upcoming Poser-killer. Unlike Poser, D|S uses OpenGL hardware acceleration, real-time lighting and texture effects, plus it's based around an expandable plug-in structure, allowing 3rd party plugins to be developed for it. No word on any modeling capabillity, tho. Simply a better rendering app for Daz's incredible models. Oh, and it's FREE. Not released yet, tho everybody wants it BAD. Daz is based out of Utah, btw...

Oh c'mon now...I'm just having a little fun (nudge-wink on the CL fiasco) D|S is a freebie (initially) so I seriously doubt people are going to gripe like they did with Poser 5. I won't be expecting it to be perfect anyway. There's no other way to use Poser figures with a free OpenGL 3d app until D|S hits. I've been dying to take advantage of the OpenGL capabilities of this Sawtooth for SO LONG... Daz won't get bullied into releasing it too early. They dragged out developement on V3 until she was perfect, and I've got no complaints there!

But I want my OpenGL posing, native OS X running app right NOW! Poser 4 is clunky, slow and --- ARRGH! If I could import Daz figures into Cinema 4d I'd be okay right now....but I CAN'T, so I"m going to KEEP WHINING until I get my copy of D|S!!! WWwwaaaaaa!! :-p

No no no...I want to replace her arms, legs, chest, feet etc with the sci-fi suit. Not only would this make posing easier, it'd also cut down the polycount and lighten the load in Poser. How would I make the two meshes combine? The biz suit woman has the clothes as part of the mesh... Is there a way to do this? In Poser?

Grab yourself a Intuos2 6x8. I got mine from the WAcom Store refub'd (they replaced a pen. A PEN!) and after using the Graphire for 3 years, it's a dream. Wacoms aren't too good with Poser, tho. I prefer using a potical trackball.

I found I have to use IE to get Daz's store pages to load and work correctly. I prefer Safari, but alas...IE seems to rule the roost when it comes to e-commerce sites.

Thanks for the reports, guys. Looks like I'll stick with regular Poser 4 for now. Until CL rebuilds Poser with Quartz, Altivec and OpenGL acceleration, I'm not budging. BTW, How much of a performance hit does the Pro-Pack put on Poser in Os 9?
