Thanks, Melanie. :) Yes, that's one thing I still want to do with the texture. I have worked on it, but it's not easy because of how the texture is wrapped and stretched on the cat - it's hard to line it up on all sides. But I will keep trying. :)

You're very welcome. (I actually got the link from Little Dragon myself, thank you, Little Dragon. :) I looked at the eye question, and yes, I have to make sure that the middle of the eye texture has the different colorations, then it will really look much better. Thank you, VirtualSite!

It's probably the "Cat o' 9Lives" by Capsces Digital Ink. See link. It's actually 34 morphs which are very nice and you can turn the cat into other animals, too, with them. (Fox, rabbit or raccoon.)Thread: Cat WIP - What do you think? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
VirtualSite, Yes, I tried to make the eyes have different tones in them (I actually used a photo of a cat's eyes), but when I put them on the Poser cat, they didn't show. Maybe because the texture is mapped on the eyeball and only part of it is visible between the eyelids? I'll have to experiment more with that. :)

Thank you, everybody, I really appreciate your kind comments. :) I agree, it would be nice to have more morphs for the animals!

kayjay97, I think everybody knows that you were sincere and we all feel the same way: we are all grateful for the wonderful things others make for us, so that our Poser people don't have to walk around naked and bald, we're grateful for people looking at our pictures and maybe giving us comments, and we're grateful for our friends we make here. So, don't take it as teasing or cynicism if somebody cracks a joke. :) It's just that we like to have fun.

I forgot to mention that even if you said something that the person in question did not like it is not a reason to send insulting IMs. (Also, sorry, I meant criticism, not critisism - oops!) :)

I think that nobody likes to receive a negative comment or critisism on their work. However, a lot depends on how things are said. You can tell your opinion in a polite and constructive way or you can really slam the person. I think the first way is more likely to make the artist at the receiving end think about what was said, mull it over and maybe realize the truth in it and learn from it. But the second way would make most people become angry and defensive. I agree that if you post something as a WIP you should be ready for the critisism and negative comments, but I suppose most people hope that these will be helpful and not hurtful.
Thread: makein meshes for the Sims in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I mean "blueprint" can import your 3D objects (like furniture) into the game. I don't know if it can import 3D characters. I haven't done these things in a while, but when I did, the way people made new characters was by using an existing Sims character mesh and modifying it with one of the Sims programs like "Facelift". But this only changes the head, not the body (http://thesims.ea.com/us/ - go to "Get Cool Stuff").

There is a free program called "blueprint" that can do just that. See the link. There's also a big online community called "The Sims Resource" where you can upload your creations for others to use and download things created by others, with news, forums, etc. The address is: http://www.thesimsresource.com/ HTH!Thread: Let's hear it for the Newbies! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
