Let me just point out that there was a heck of a lot of hype over P5. I like the idea of the plugins, and Daz seems diverse enough to withstand a blow to the market, BUT (and with me there always is one) if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.

I think we all agree that we all disagree on one point or another. No one likes "blind patriotism". I respect any opinion as long as it is an educated one. Patriotism is not a thing of arrogance but a belief in the common ideals of a nation. I can only say I am a patriot because I know that these actions and the way they are being conducted are viewed by the american majority as being wrong. I run ATHALON XP2600/333MHZ BUS, 1GB PC3200DDR, WIN 2000. Using V3, high res tex, and Dynamic hair, rendered only about half of a 30 frame AVI overnight. I haven't tried again. Feeling a little sore aren't we? By the looks of these forums, it seem's to be that keeping things short and sweet is the only way anything will get done in P5, at least for now. I'm sorry if you are sobbing at the moment, I know I am.

I consider myself a patriot, I respect the values depicted in our constitution. HOWEVER(and this will probably cause me some grief) I AM SICK OF THOSE WHO WIPE THEIR ASS WITH IT!!! I am ashamed, that our leaders have no clue what FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY mean. The people do not want a war, the world does not want this war, yet our government has decided that is wasn't a matter to compromise upon. To stand up and defy the UNITED NATIONS, what arrogance! The United Nations was formed so that the world could share a common democratic state and since it's opinion differs from that our leaders, our leaders are going to stand up in defiance and thumb their nose at this democratic system? They might as well be wiping their asses with this flag they salute. We the people declare those those in power are in violation of the principles that this great union is based upon. You will not serve another 4 years. You will be accountable for each and every life.

If you use PSP, it simple. 1 save your render as a PNG 2 square select the portion to keep 3 add any neccesary details, keep part of the layer transparent-do not use a fill 4 crop to selection 5 resize to 91X91 Save as a PNG in the folder that contains the character, the title of course needs to be the same as the CR2, move or delete the original thumb and RSR. You are set!

That one is tough to answer Annette. I needed to upgrade my system also in order to get much of anything done. I think at this point in time you may be disappointed. There seems to be a grey cloud hanging over Curious Labs. If I had it to do over again, I'd take the money for P5 and put it in the bank. Keep an eye out for another service release, and do read over these forums. P5 is still too rough, and the future of it is in question. If they can fix the bugs it will be worth it. Right now it is a headache.

Nooo, 333MHZ bus speed, Athalon XP2600(just under 2.1GHZ). Yes, I tried set things low in the hair room, I just wanted to see what the hair looked like in an AVI. I have been having luck with the cloth room(sweet), but not with the hair. The dynamics calculate decent, but rendering to AVI doesn't go so well. How come CL responds to you?

I agree with the majority that the hair does seem to have a bit of a peak, could be partially due to the camera angle. Do I detect a bit of a blue haze on the eyewhites? I think the hair looks a little "grainy" from the infinate lighting, I like to set up spots, more work though. For my portraits I like to stick with 2 spots, but I do see instances that more may be needed. Overall a nice job minor tweaking with the lights, that's all. Try starting from black and gradually lightening to try to blend a little more with the black background, if the face is to dark try killing the shadows on the hair.

I agree with SAMS3D, V3 is the most bang for the buck! Read the forums, use the search also. If you have a question regarding anything in Poser, chances are it has already been asked and answered.
