Thanks for replying. I am not certain about the "Apply" button, but I think that I must have used it, because the checkout process did detect the coupon and explicitly (and invalidly) reject it.
Thread: (Semi-OT) - Carrara 5 or Vue 5 as alternate Poser renderer? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

In the Poser 6 Libraries window, the highest level folders are, by default, "Poser 6" and "Downloads". You can create a new one to contain the "Miki1020" folder. Click the little black arrow at the top right of the Libraries window and select "Add New Runtime". It will prompt you for the "Miki1020" folder. The alternative is to drop the conyents of Miki1020 in the corresponding libraries in the Runtime folder. That way ends up with a much more complicated runtime, though, so semidieu's solution is better.

It's in the View pull-down, but I think positioning things manually, as you have, works better.

It's possible that it has unzipped into a folder called Miki1020Pack under your main Poser folder, rather than going into your Runtime. I think I probably ended up copying the folders over manually.

It sounds as though the items are not being conformed properly in Poser, as per what jc said above. Figures imported to Carrara should not poke through their clothes, if they don't poke through in Poser. One thing I have found with Transposer, though, is that a scene may be imported incomplete. I think it is a memory issue. Then, if you make an update in Poser and try to update the scene in Carrara, Carrara gives an error and may actually delete a figure from the existing scene. Transposer imports what is visible in the scene, so, if an item of clothing, for instance, has been hidden in Poser, it won't be included in the import.

The character on the left is practising levitation, which is one of the problems with trying to fit imported Poser figures into Carrara landscapes. Carrara can be used to modify poses, but you lose the connection to the original Poser file. Both Vue and Carrara have a bit of a problem for Poser users, in that their supplied landscapes (or V5I ecosystems) aren't ideally designed for putting figures into, because the features of the landscape are large-scale. You can use a Carrara mountain as a small, rocky outcrop, but, somehow, it always looks more like a mountain (it may be something to do with the snow on top ;¬) ). Carrara's trees are hopeless. You can't use them without extensive work in the texture room. Vue's aren't wonderful, either, but they are the right colour, roughly, and there is good commercial content for Vue. Both have limitations for importing Poser figures. You can hit memory problems very quickly. V5I has better recovery than Carrara 5. If V5I says it is trying to save your work, I think it means it (not always true in earlier Vues). Carrara hits memory-related buffers much too readily and that usually means a visit to the Task Manager, even when you haven't remotely exhausted available memory (I have had that today, when Carrara reached 600+ Mb, on a system with 2Gb, and gave up). I get the impression that hair slows down Carrara renders a lot and that water (reflections = raytracing, presumably) makes Vue renders take forever and then some.

Isn't there a scale dial for each hand (although that will require each joint to be scaled individually)?
Thread: Shadow Dancer for Aiko 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I found a couple of very small areas of poke-through on the shoulders, when I used WW on ShadowDancer, to fit it to V3, but there was nothing that couldn't be easily fixed. I agree with everything Acadia said about WW. Just for the sake of converting one item from A3 to V3, or whatever, it would be expensive, but you soon get to see the benefit, either adapting clothing to different figures, or fitting unmorphed clothes to morphed figures. I use it frequently.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity
So any depiction of children is demonised? An innocent picture is exactly that: innocent. That it allegedly awakens painful memories in a certain minority doesn't alter the fact of its innocence. Should this be put on a bonfire?

Xurge's designs are brilliant. Just remember that it's XURGE3D.COM, not just XURGE...:blushing:

It looks as though you may need to tweak the minimum displacement bounds for Firefly, too.
