I would strongly recommend a flatscreen. I use a Hercules model something-or-other and the weight and size saving alone are worth it. I'd never want to go back to a CRT. It's got pinsharp resolution and great colour, and although I hear what you say about moving pics, I can play games just fine on this monitor. Next stop for me is a flatscreen TV!

Many thanks indeed to all those who contributed. I'm downloading too much to thank you all personally... but thanks again!

If you're referring to the 'Intro to 3D modelling' class, then I can assure you it's running - I'm in it! It's only the first week, I don't think you'd have any trouble catching up.

I didn't realise Irfanview could do this. In fact Irfanview's method is better than Photoshop - much simpler to use. I'll be using that in future :-)

If you're using PS, I would try the Pen tool, which creates clean lines or curves. Create a path which encloses the area to be filled with the stripe colour, convert to a selection, and fill. If all you need is a straight line, then you can use a hard-edged brush with the shift key.

Thread: "State of the Site" - Spotlight with Tim - Extended two more days! | Forum: Community Center
Hi Lillian, Well, Tim didn't answer my question... perfectly reasonable question (I thought) about the free stuff, posted on Saturday. He doesn't seem to have been inundated with questions, so I guess it got lost somewhere. Steve

I'm with elizabyte on this one. I'm very difficult to offend - and this thread has me laughing out loud, BTW - but other people are different. About the only word anyone could use which would offend me is the c-word, which even I never use. But other people are more sensitive; why irritate them if I don't have to?
