Latest word from CL tech support is that TkInter support for Mac under OS X is being worked on but no completion or release date.

Thread: I don't know if anybody can help me.I have a big problem with my poser 5. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had P5 for a couple of weeks now. I run it on a G5 Mac with dual monitors and have been frustrated by the automatic relocation of the parameters window to be partially visible on the primary monitor every time I enter and exit the material room. I normally have the parameter window located completely on the second monitor. The relocation looks like an improperly implemented attempt to get around the problem of a completely inacessible off-screen window by moving it back into the viewport. I had run into that problem in P4 when one of my monitors was temporarily disconnected.

I seem to remember seeing something to the effect that 1 poser unit was 100 inches, which would imply something less than 6 feet. Does anyone have a definitive source for the information or are measurements being made by importing external objects of known dimensions and seeing how large they are in Poser?

Thanks Martin. This is a vast improvement to hacking the rsr files in a hex editor to fix them. Happy New Year to all! :-) Suffix, Prefix, GeoffIX

For others interested in this topic, I've just been pointed to a fix/workaround in the Tech forum on http:/www.poserpros.com called "How to get V2 and M2 joint fixes to auto apply". Thanks, Jaager! I'm still interested in answers to the valueOpPlus, etc. syntax, though.

Looks great. There are so many good free pubic hair props available it's a shame people haven't caught on before now and left the hair, including eyebrows off their skin textures. Makes it a lot easier to change hair colours realistically. Please let us know if this will become available.

A quick search of the MW CR2 and OBJ geometry files shows controller (key) sections for handGrasp and handSpread in the hands but without the corresponding JCM valueOpAddDelta controlled sections in the fingers. I suspect this means that the keywords handGrasp, etc. are special built-in Poser functions.

I believe you will always have a problem, in the absence of extensive postwork (which some, myself included, would like to avoid), transferring morphs from a higher density mesh, i.e. Vicky's breast or Steph/Mike's muscles to a lower density one, i.e. Steph's breast or Vicky's muscles (esp. intercostals - between ribs). The first thing I tried on Steph was larger breast sizes (ok, so sue me), but there are just too few polys to give reasonably smooth renders. Mazak's image above is a great example. Excellent muscle definition, but the breasts have noticeably sharp corners at the mesh vertices. Before I get too far OT though, and I don't want to be mistaken for downplaying anyones' efforts here, BTW, will there be a Mac version of Tailor? (I hear Mimic for Mac is once again in the pipeline, Yay!)

You don't mean Cerberus, the three-headed dog guarding the gates of Hades, then? (Or Fluffy? from HP)

It's probably just more IE stupidity. One day I'll go back to Knotscoop.

Heh, at least you didn't suggest using a PC instead ;-) Anyway, I never like throwing the baby out with the bathwater, even if the plughole is oversized...

Note: I started a new thread with the following message before I read this one. It may have some bearing. Message follows: I've noticed over the last month or so that I would get an error in IE after clicking on download buttons in Free Stuff which didn't link to another site. The new browser window would open and then an error dialog would appear complaining about the attempt to load the URL: http:...freestuffdownload.ez failing. I'd been bypassing this problem by looking at the freestuff page html source, copying the link for the thumbnail image to another window and working back from there, in the case where there wasn't a link to the contributors' webpage. I finally got sick of this today and after lengthy investigation of browser settings and forum searches for others with similar problems, decided to try something different. I had been in the habit of leaving all my freestuff downloads in a single folder, having noticed that each download is automatically assigned a different sequence number, e.g. freestuffdownload 3.ez. On closer inspection, I discovered that the whole number sequence from 1 to 100 had been allocated. What, I wondered, would happen if I moved all these files to a different folder? Lo, and behold, downloads are now working again!!! I have not discovered exactly what is responsible for allocating unique names to the download files, whether it be IE itself, the Mac Classic OS (9.1) or the Renderosity download scripts, but a little bit of regular housekeeping seems to be necessary to avoid the unexplained and frustrating download failures I'd been suffering. I hope this proves helpful to someone else. Cheers, Geoff

Perhaps a bandanna top with reflective sequin mesh texture? Possibly play with some cleavage morphs.
