Here's a begenners's tutorial on learning to move figures in Poser.  this tutorial is for an earlier version, but that won't matter to your results!  ;)

What happens when you render? (Control r)

Are all the lights black? 

if you put your mouse on the camera ball and push or pull, does anything change?

I've created some truly stunning transporter accidents and even some things that don't embarrass me!

I"m not good with DS, but do you have the Whole Character selected? 

Depending on your Modeling software, you could create groups and name the group Front or Back.  then UV Mapper will respect the names.

Once you have it textured, you need to save it again (with a new name!)

this should give you the results you're looking for!

Did you apply the textures before you created the Character in Poser?

To create a prop, Choose the item, Click Edit > Memorize>Object

Go to the prop folder and click the plus button at the bottom...  you may have to answer adjust some options in the dialog box that opens, so make sure you look at every thing before you click the save button.  the latest version of poser defaults to all options unchecked, so you don't save anything!  An ugly Icon will be created for you.

Paint Shop Pro might work for you.  

IF Alyson exists in your poser runtime as a CR2 or CRZ, just map the poser runtime to DS, navigate to it and double click Alyson.

Historically all you've needed is the previous version CD or the Key....

They may have changed this, but it's a pretty painless test....  and if they haven't changed it....  you'll be done in no time!
