I found these two links useful in learning about CR2 files: http://www.kzin.org/poser/cr2/index.htm http://www.rbtwhiz.com/rbtwhiz_ERC.html There is a utuility in the free stuff "CR2 Editor" not to be confused with the more powerful "CR2 Edit", that you might find useful. You might also want to check out the free Metasequoia application for making mesh objects; http://www1.sphere.ne.jp/mizno/

Another way. Example: Load a Poser box and ball into a Poser document. Open the Group Editor, select the ball (either from the dropdown list, or the hierarchy editor) click New Group, call it ball, click Select All, the ball should turn red, click Assign Material call it ball. Select the box, click New Group, call it box, click Select All, the box should turn red, Assign Material call it box. Close the Group Editor. Assign any colours and textures in the Materials window. Save the box and ball as one wavefront object (OBJ), tick Include figure names and Include existing groups . Thats it. You can re-import the object and save it to the props pallet. The disadvantage of doing it this way is that it accepts the default mapping of the objects, where as if you use UV Mapper you can control the mapping. The advantage is that its quick.

Thread: How To Create A Smart Prop? | Forum: Poser Technical
To make a prop into a smart prop just parent it to some body part in a character, from the menu bar Object > Change Parent (it must be parented to a character, trying to parent it to another object wont work). Select the prop, and save it to a props pallet, DONT USE Select Subset or it wont save as a smart prop, a dialogue will pop up asking if you want to save it as a smart prop.
Thread: How can i create my own Charakter? | Forum: Poser Technical
Put rather crudely, a character file (CR2) applies various sorts of information to an object file (OBJ), the P4NudeWom.obj for example, to create a fully articulated character. The appearance of the character can be altered by applying morph targets (MTs). You can find some MTs here in the free section, they can be applied from the Object > Load Morph Target menu. You can also copy morphs directly from another CR2 file using the free utility Morph Manager, or you can make your own MTs in Poser4 by using magnets, or create them in other software such as Zbrush or Rhino and many others. To do a character like Victoria from scratch involves the creation of the mesh in a modelling application, Its beyond my level of competence.

Note that in the above k 0 3.4 is the scaling factor and is equil to 340% on the dial, so the decimal point has shifted two places to the left. If you just wanted to scale in one dimension, say zScale, then the code should be: propagatingScaleZ zScale { keys { k 0 3.4 } }

I have inserted the following code into Strangechilde's pose files, to allow them to scale the eye props, and sent them back to him/her. Strangechilde has tried these files with the new code and apparently, THEY WORK!?! So I am posting the code here for the benefit of those who are following this thread. It somewhat cut down from my original attempt. prop Mecha_right:1 { channels { #----New code starts---- propagatingScale scale { keys { k 0 3.4 } } #-----New code ends---- targetGeom Open_2 { keys
Thread: dont know if I like it ! What you think? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Render 1 looks too scrunched in Y dimension. Render 2 much better, but right eye needs to be visible. Saturation of the red highlight seems too strong for my taste. Perhaps the Crown of head could be deeper. Sorry if this sounds too critical, don't have time to be diplomatic, very nice job realy.

I have inserted the following code into Strangechilde's pose files, and sent them back to him/her. To my understanding this code should work to scale the eyes to 340%, but I could be wrong, and have on way of checking, as I do not have the files that the pose acts on. prop Mecha_right:1 { channels { #----New code starts---- propagatingScale scale { keys { k 0 3.4 } } #-----New code ends---- targetGeom Open_2 { keys
