Heck with the P4NF mesh you can do a lot. What I'd like to see is multiple layered skin textures with varied levels of transparency and refraction. An oily outer surface layer, surface defects like scar tissue, inner layers with pigmentation and freckles, followed by deep inner layers with vascularity. That way with a very strong light you could get more detail to appear in a character.
Thread: Can anyone use some music or sound fx? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One thing that struck me was with the latest version of Adobe Premiere they bundled a lite version of Track Maker (forgive me if thats the wrong name). It was pretty nice in the fact that you could use it to make looped music scores based on how big a timeline you have or how many seconds you want it to run. Even gives you variations on mood. Only problem it the music was Very stock corporate video in nature. Personally loved what the program can do but I didn't like the canned sound especially when I'm trying to be cinematic. Me not being a musical composer all I can ever say to a composer is what feel I want to exude and the pace I'd like to have something that I could loop over and over, or start and finish. Perhaps have a beginning I could tack on, middle sections and an end. Parts of a soundtrack so the user could build a custom score to fit his or her needs. I'd like to hear powerful dynamic action music. Something heroic, uplifting. Dark action music for the antagonist. Warm and cold ambient sounds to fill the background. Chilling music as the story gets tense. A warm radiant theme for a romance. Overall I want it to sound cinematic, and have some emotion behind it. Hope these suggestions help.

Thread: Viewpoint Anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been using viewpoint moreso for creating things for the new Adobe Atmosphere Beta product. My main use for the HTML view is to get a preview. I like to turn off camera animations (in the export window) and use the main camera at around 120mm. I think the viewer tries to fit everthing in the scene that is visible into the preview window.
Thread: Viewpoint Anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What are you using the viewpoint for? If it is just for an imbedded html page like the one that poser makes when you export as Viewpoint, using the default settings there is a section called HTML viewport, it will let you adjust the screen size. Another thing that effects your image is your camera placement when you export.

I modeled a rather nice moogle in Max last week, take a look at http://www.3Ddude.com/downloads/moogle/moogle.html for a viewpoint version.Thread: Poser avi to 3dsmax 3.1 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nope, Konan may still have a limited version of Max pose out on FreeStuff but other than that everything is going to cost you.

Check out Maximum Pose and Poser Pro Pack http://innuendo.ev.ca/ http://www.CuriousLabs.com Maximum Pose is a separate app that will import a series of obj file frames as well as your original pz3 file. It creates a compact script and file that can be read by Max. Does nice work and now handles textures very well. Poser Pro Pack now supports a Plug-in for Max.Thread: Poser AVI Resolution: Improveable? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you create your avi what codec do you choose. Different ones at different compression ratios will make your animation lookc jagged or choppy. Your best bet is to render uncompressed avi then convert it to a format like windows streaming media asf or convert to a mpeg4 avi codec. I tend to render uncompressed animations at 640x480 then import into Premiere for post.
Thread: My First Morph Target! Made with Amorphium Pro for Victoria. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I tested out Michael for a while at work and got some pretty nasty results. My clean up attemps didn't do too much. Maybe if I stick with just simple mesh morphs it will do what I want it to do.
Thread: My First Morph Target! Made with Amorphium Pro for Victoria. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm rather interested in any details on Amophium Pro as well. I use the original version in my work a lot. I heard that some users were initially having problems in making morph targets.

MASA has 2 fanstastic tools. The Drop Maker and FurFur. For both you don't need to make too many hairs on your object. All you need to do is export the spawned hair obj. Drop Maker can create a water droplet effect (which looks great in Bryce). FurFur creates a 2 sided mapped obj out of your hair obj. That means you can actually render the hair with some cool results. http://www.eurus.dti.ne.jp/%7Emasasi/Service/indexE.htmlThread: "Final Fantasy" head shots.............. incredible !!!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just think of what virtual actors can do for the big screen. You can now motion caputure the best martial artists and dancers in the world. Dupliate an entire range of expressions. Not to mention the voice artists. The shear collaboration of talent that now is used is fantastic. Allowing realistic mindblowing effects, or subtle dramatic scenes.

For serious cases you may want to make a transmap of the offending spots that poke though the armor. For example lets say that part of the thigh pokes through the leg of a pair of shorts, but the knee is exposed. You would lose the knee if you made the entire thigh invisible. But if you make a transparency map of just the part of the skin that pokes though the shorts and place it on your figure, in the final render you won't have a problem.
