I use BBEdit, which opens them without difficulty. BBEdit Lite is shareware (www.barebones.com). ResEdit is not a text editor, it is a utility which can adjust the document type code to make a CR2 appear as a text file so any editor could open them.

Yes, ZipIt is good. There is also Aladdin DropZip, though it costs $30 to register. Personally I use ZipIt.

Ok bone, we realize that. So the file you downloaded from Aladdin was named Alex50.exe? And it did absolutely nothing when you ran it? It is supposed to be 1,475,180 bytes in size; did it download completely?

bonestructure, does the Aladdin Expander run at all? It should put a single window on screen which says "Drag and drop archives and encoded files here". Does it do this? I just ran through installing the Expander on a Win98 system, and it worked for me. I went to www.stuffit.com (which takes you to Aladdin Systems), to the "Free Downloads" link. I downloaded a file named "Alex50.exe". Double clicking it installed the decompression program in Program FilesAladdin Systems. Clicking on Expander.exe opens the window where you drop encoded files.

I wish the mac folks would consider this when posting, > since the majority of users are on pcs. Given that the vast majority of props in the Free Stuff are posted without the slightest thought of Mac compatibility, I find this sentiment amusing. Perhaps you can all just deal with the occasional inconvenience of having to accomodate a Macintosh format.

I like the idea of a premium gallery. I think it would be a great thing. You could also use it for prizes for future contests: award a certain number of postings to the premium gallery. I would recommend making the cost based on the number of images to post, rather than for a certain length of time. This should reduce the burstiness of posting of images, by removing the temptation to buy a month and "make it count", making it more likely for people's images to stay on the front page for a while.

I downloaded it and ran it through the Macconverter. It works fine. It is a prop with a large number of morphs to adjust it, rather than a poseable prop, right?

Obviously, someone needs to make some morphs for the chain armor. For some reason, the warrior maidens who wear it seem to be somewhat larger than life, and we wouldn't want the protection her armor provides to be compromised now would we?
