Well, I am originally from Dallas, TX and I've moved to Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island. We've got some weird street names here, alright. Imagine for a moment, Dingle Bingle Hill Terrace, was too pretencious so they took 'terrace' off the end and called it Dingle Bingle Hill Lane. Yeah, that really helped, especially because the name is longer than the street is. We're also home to: Jinglepot Road, Giggleswick, and Buttertubs. When I was first here and living in downtown Vancouver, I watched the weather report and saw my all time favorite city name for the first time -- Spuzzum!!!!!!!
Vancouver also has Leg-in-Boot Square, and the story is that it was named that because a leg in a boot washed up on shore there in the early 1900's. Residents of the area however have a slightly different name for it whenever goose season comes along. Because of the open grassy areas the Canada geese like to graze there, which is why everyone calls it Leg-in-Poo Square.
How'd I do?

Thread: Environmental Sphere: How to use? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The ibl that is included in those zip files are, to my knowledge, not usable in Poser. You can attach the lower rez blurred hdr to an IBL light in Poser but in Poser Pro 2012, Poser 10, and Poser Pro 2014, you cannot use an IBL light with an environment sphere like BB's un less on the environment sphere you uncheck 'light emitter'. In that situation you would only be getting diffuse light from the IBL, not from the environment (this is if you are using IDL turned on, which I'm assumming is the case). You have to use either an IBL or environment sphere with IDL, not both at the same time.

Okay, let me demonstrate further. I have done a screen cap of the node set up of Historical Curls right after it first loads and I apply new shader set up thru EZSkin. This shot is before rendering. It shows the transmap as it SHOULD be. This is the BEFORE shot.
And then the shot from after a first render.

@Morkonan, Thank you for really READING my post! I went and checked the Geometries folder for each model (3Dream Aether Hair and Neftis Historical Curls), there is no .mlt with the objs, so that is not the problem. I'm thinking it must be in the .hr2 itself. Some sort of texture reference that newer versions of Poser are reading differently than Poser 7 read them. When I load either of the hair models onto a character, they each come in properly with the color map and its transmap in place. I usually then run EZskin on them to set up newer node structure on them (3Dream back in the P7 days loved to use Ambient on hair). I render either one of those hairs once and everything looks fine. I go back to the material room after that first render and the transmap is no longer displayed, instead it's the color map, but the NAME of the transmap is still in the node information. And it will render that way! I have tried several times to rename the transmap, and I've even moved the transmap to a different location in the Textures folder in hopes of fixing this issue, but neither has worked. Poser just starts loading the color map in place of the transmap and that makes both of the hair styles unusable!!! Aether hair was one of my favorites and I can't use it anymore. I need the Historical Curls for a project, and I can't use it. I am hoping someone will read this thread and know what is going wrong here and tell me how to fix it. A long time ago when MAT Poses were new, I was taught to created one by hand. It's been a very long time since I've edited a Poser file in a text editor but I know that I can locate the texture references withing the .hr2, I just don't know what to fix or change in order to fix this problem.
And thanks again for really reading my post!
Unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for X-mas holiday. Maybe someone will have an answer for me when I get back.

I'm not sure about queue, I don't use it, but those render settings posted by aeon-soul only go to Poser Pro 2010, not Poser Pro 2014. You should be using GC turn on for your renders (I hate GC, but its the only way to get a good render out of the more recent versions of Poser). Maybe someone who uses queue will have a better explanation for you of your problem.

I use Quintessential Player for several years now. It's quite nice.

Thread: The birth of Roxie. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Could I ask a question without getting jumped on?
I tried a render with Roxie, it was a test really where I had adapted one of my V4 makeups to her face map, I even refit one of my favorite V4 hair models to her for the render. However, and here's the big reason I've not used her since--a serious lack of facial shaping morphs!!!! Why has no one made a free set of facial shaping morphs for her??? I just checked the freestuff area just in case I had missed them and they are not there. I might be persuaded to use her if there were some free facial morphs. There are some nice clothing sets for her thanks to EClark but..... no extra facial morphs. Number 2 reason for me (and the reason I don't use A4), Roxie looks like a teenager. I do mostly fetish style pinups and I'm not going to use a teenage looking model for that and for some story projects that I have, I don't have any teenage characters in the storyline. Too bad Blackhearted hasn't decided to tackle her. I'd consider buying his morph rework if he did it. So, that's my question.

Thread: “This material collection contains materials that do not exist . . . " | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You're trying to use a Material Collection on a prop and the Collection was made for something different, with different material zones. I have purchased two BB/Dreamland products and BB included in the materials folder for each product a folder called Singles. These are the individual materials that he made for the products so that you can apply them as you like to other things. All other folders are material collections for the Dreamland models.

I second the request! Need these types of shaders for Post Apocalyptic renders for a project.

After the upgrade I have a tiny display problem in Poser. Two versions of BB's Cornea shaders display a completely white in Preview mode. The image renders just fine. It's just in the display of the Preview mode. Don't know how to fix it. Oh, well. Also had to reinstall my Paintshop 8 program.

Yep, got forced into it. The process just finished. Everything seems okay so far. I must say tho that I am NOT happy that it was crammed down my throat.
