Thread: IE 7 | Forum: Community Center
IE7 will be deployed through Windows Update soon (next month or so), but there is a fix to stop it happening automatically if you want to (mainly aimed at admin people with big networks etc).

The other option is the photo of the reflective sphere in Bryce. For a reflective sphere size A,A,A at coordinates x,y,z - the camera should be at x, y, (1.8A + z) (for the standard 40 degree FOV). If you want to take the second image (to avoid distortions), the second camera position should be (1.8A + x), y, z.

Thread: Studio animation into Bryce | Forum: Bryce
Ninja, for a as-yet incomplete project, and thanks for the warning about breaking the link. I guess you have to animate everything at once in Studio.

There are a couple of sample scenes included in the B6 release, showing off the HDRI. The other option is the desmon-thingy file in the 5.5 release, which would give a comparison between 5, 5.5, and 6.

Thread: Instant forest - just add render time! | Forum: Bryce
Yep, trees interfering with each other has been fixed, but render times with lots of trees are still a killer. Image planes are the way to go, I think.

Thread: User Names Are Fun | Forum: Community Center
I've had mine since about '96, and have used it consistently. Probably more people know me by Mahray than my real name :/
Edit - if you want to know my name, you'll have to visit me in RenderGods :)

Thread: Bryce 6 - HDRI S.O.W.! | Forum: Bryce
I was just about to post asking how to make our own, and here we are :)
It might be nice to make environments in Bryce, render them at huge times, then use those as hdri's :)

Thread: Here is Bryce 6.0 - Available NOW! | Forum: Bryce
Steve posted the following at Daz:
The boxed version is scheduled for January 2007, because we plan on releasing Bryce 6.1 by the end of the year. 6.1 will be an important FREE update in its own right since it will have a collection of bug fixes that we're certain to hear about in the coming days that we'll want to address for you. On top of that, we'll have a MAC Intel compatible build out for the MAC in that release. In addition, there's a set of further fixes and feature polish that we're already working on. The HDRI lab, for instance, will have quite a few more controls added to it so that it is even more powerful and versatile in what can be accomplished with it. The dual-processor and hyperthreading support will be extended to work more thoroughly within Bryce 6 and the various previews windows, and we hope to squeeze out even a bit more speed from it. And who knows, we might even have a surprise feature up our sleeves that we'll release around that same time...
That should answer a few questions about dual threading etc :)

Thread: I need a Moderator or Admin to PM me IMMEDIATELY!! | Forum: Community Center
The old site had a list of online Admin/Mods at the top of the online users page, which has apparently disappeared.
It would be very useful if that could be put back (and stop me wondering what is so urgent, not that it's any of my business anyway).
