I don't think the system setup has much to do with the lag - people are always quick to assume that THAT is the problem as opposed to a train wreck of a computer. I have a quad processor, 16 gigs of Ram, a 1 gig video card (ATI) and more hard drive space than a small school and Poser 7 LAGS!!
Now the problem I seem to have is that Poser willl crash upon loading (which is something new that happened starting yesterday).
And the runtimes take forever - could someone explain how to set up different runtime liabraries?

I agree with Hopper, you should have disclosed the $10 voucher is for EF products only.
Secondly would it have been so difficult to make it obvious as to where to put the g#ddamn coupon number.
I bought P6 and used it once - went back to P5 - P6 in my opinion was a trainwreck of a program. I only purchased P7 for the potential to morph bodies - I hope its everything its promised to be.
I could care less for the rendering engine - I use Vue 6I.
I hope I didnt get burned again.

I have a quad processor, 16 gigs of ram and a 1 gig video card...and Vue still crashes!! If you are trying to render a scene with both displacment maps and SSS - vue will go down faster than a girl on prom night.

I contacted e-on software on Friday, they said "at this point we don't have a date to tell you", despite what question I asked the response was exactly the same....he didn't deviate or offer any further information...."These are not the droids your looking for"
When is Poser expected to hit anyway - all I could get from the release was "this fall"

Thanks Shonner, my images are all photorealistic. Ill continue to use poser 5 for now, though in curious labs defence I have not installed the latest service pack and that might have helped things. Some of the new features in Vue 6 requires you to use poser 6 (I believe).

I guess I was fortunate not to have noticed any problems. But I agree with you, I hate when software is released with bugs. Poser 6 is still a train wreck of a program if you ask me.
