Wyrmmaster, before VV did something very similar to VV to the P4 woman. An example can be seen at the link. Note that I've turned her down a little bit...Thread: Diving Right into the Sun.... ;) Need some advice... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have used Poseamation, and they are very good. Whether you do it full length or break it up is up to you, but probably should be dependent on the delivery format. If you are putting it to tape (or DVD) for people to watch on television, there is no reason not to make it full length. If it is being delivered over the internet or CD-ROM, you might want to consider breaking it up. Everyone likes a nice 3 part story.

This question is specifically to dcort. I checked out your Aquamarine character, but was wondering if it were possible to get the more classical mermaid look without the gills and the transition from human to mermaid happening at the waist or a little below. Does Aquamarine easily allow for this?

well, it came up with a message saying it couldn't be accepted, so uploading again...couldn't we have this message come up before we start the upload?
Thread: Athlon v Pentium 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have used a variety of both at work, and went with the Athlon. It's exceeded my expecations, and doubt if I will go with Intel again unless they can be more competitive with AMD. Right now I use a mix of computers, but for pounding out Poser renders, I use the Athlon (800mhz). The other thing that is nice, is I could get the 200mhz bus speed with AMD, which at the time of my purchase, was superior to the generally standary 133 that went with Pentiums.

Well, actually those pictures are all of the same model, so that's model singular, in that case at least. I will render one out and put it on here. The computer I'm using at the moment isn't very fast, and can't even render out Vicki without crashing. I'll need to switch computers.

I don't know. I have a magazine from years ago that shows Zygote people actually encasing a woman in plaster. Her facial features look like Victoria. I have never seen the reference on their web site, I was just working from pictures I've seen and the magazine article.
Thread: Where can I obtain Victoria figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, Victoria was created essentially by Zygote people encasing some woman in plaster a few years ago. So Victoria is real, and walking around out there somewhere. I don't know about Michael.

It is better in Poser 4 somewhat, but the best thing about Poser 4 is that it allows you to use higher polygonal models like Daz 3D's Victoria and Michael. Which cost extra, so you should factor that in.Thread: Poser Characters into LightWave (ProPack?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Download Propack? Okay, I'm on it! Oh wait, just read your second message. So what's a PFD file? Oh, wait, just read your first message. Those aren't gnomes by the way, they're gremlins. And they look exactly like that thing Shatner saw outside the plane window. Exactly.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Sometimes clients get used to seeing them, so they do forget what goes into them.

150k?? Probably if it was for a video destined for MTV or M2, but he's already stated he's using Poser and that he's never done professional work before. I'm reading between the lines that it's for a regional or local band that he has connections with, although I could be guessing wrong. I'm also guessing if he quotes 150k they will do an, "oh, ok," and tell him not to call, they will call him. I work on nationally syndicated shows and spots, and the budgets for these shows, including animations sometimes can be as low as $50,000. We're doing things faster, better cheaper with animations these days (as are our competitors), so animations for broadcast and cable shows rarely hit $150k for 30 seconds, and when it does, you better believe we aren't using Poser.
