Quote - Here ya go... see the first picture at this link. Quite realistic... at least what we can see of it.
By the way, I think orangutans are really cute!
I tried the link - it leads back to this thread?
Thread: Loss of mouse pointer in Poser 4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I recall having such a problem when I used Poser 4 - I believe I could usually get the cursor back by changing the screen resolution briefly and then changing it back.
Thread: Poser 8 wishes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My biggest wish would be for a library system that allows multiple libraries to be open at once, and true drag-and-drop for importing props & characters, and for applying poses, MATs, Textures, and mateials to objects.
I know there are a couple of utilities that support this, but they seem to rely on NET to work, and NET doesn't work on my system no mater what I do.
An item specific "Drape now" command for dynamic clothes with directional gravity would be good, too.
Thread: Your first Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I started with Poser 1 - I read about it in a British computer magazine, and I remember calling Kai's Fractal Designs every month for a year before it came out, as they missed one release deadline after another before they would finally accept my phone order for "that 3D Manequin program" .
I still have a copy of every version 1 thru 7 installed on my G drive except Ver2 & ProPack (lost the disks in an emergency move due to a flood)
Thread: OT - Search for rename utility that adds folder name to file name? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep, just found that option, This version is WAY faster and more powerful than the one I've used the last few years.
Renamed 97,000 files in the last few minutes.
All done now.
Thanks again for the tip!

Thread: OT - Search for rename utility that adds folder name to file name? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"Append Folder Name" isn't an option in the Bulk Rename Utility I've been using (2003), but I just visited their web page and downloaded the most recent version and, yes, there it is!
http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/
It doesn't completely automate the process, but it does reduce it to a few clicks per folder.
Many thanks for the tip - I sometimes for get that even free utilities get upgrades from time to time.

"Again the 3 W's: What's an Orc, What's a meshbox village, and Where's CP Realm?"
DPH
An Orc is a type of fantasy character from Lord of the Rings and other similar works (like an elf, but ugly & evil/destructive).
A Meshbox village would be a group of architectural mesh products by Meshbox (a Vendor at CP and other places).
CP is Content Paradise - A content and support site associated with the company that currently owns/sells Poser, and linked to within recent versions of Poser.

. . . I'm getting a 404 at that link for the tutorial - is there an alternate site where it can be viewed?

Flashlight beam? I've had fair results from using Nerd's Fog tool. This is a pic from my gallery.Thread: What are YOU gonna buy for 50% Off at Rendo TODAY ONLY!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I lost out entirely - I've just spent 2 days reviving my computer from a boot file corruption, by the time I was able to go thru my Emails and found the promo code, it had expired.

Thread: Use external binary morphs question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Leather-Guy: The only software I know to mass-convert embedded morphs to binary morphs and back is my Binary Morph Converter. For single files, Poser File Editor can be used as well.
I thought I had pretty much all the D3D Utilities, but I somehow missed this one.
. . . I'll have to try to budget this one next!

Thread: Use external binary morphs question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What utilities or scripts exist that can convert files in mass to external morphs? Or from external to internal? Or both?
I prefer internal morphs, but quite a few products come with external, which messes up my attempts to rename and reorganize assets.
Thread: Installing your Runtime (free program) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi.
After scanning this thread, I just bought the program. Trying to install it just now, it seems to be hard-coded to install into a folder called installer that has to be in the root directory of a hard drive. How do I override this? Installing a minor utility (however useful) into it's own folder in a root directory is unacceptable to me. My root directories on all 6 of my hard drives (1.6 TB total)are carefully organized.
I need to be able to install this into D:3D-AppsPoserUtils3DContentInstaller to maintain the organization I've labored for several years to maintain.
I haven't seen a program hard coded to a root directory in over 10 years (aside from some of Adobe's and Corel's support files, which is one of the reasons I've stopped using Adobe and Corel products).
How can this problem be corrected?
Thanks!
Jerry
