Hi guys! That jumping camera problem usualy happens when you have two or more characters/props on scene and are working with the posing/face/hand cameras. Let's say you adjusted the right hand camera for Fig 1. If you click at any part of Fig 2 by mistake, the camera jumps to focus on the Fig 2 right hand. I don't know any other way of avoiding that, besides selecting the proper camera for the figure I'm working on. I mostly work with the main camera, saving each position setting at the camera dots. That camera never jumps :) About mesh defects: Move to Eve or Vicky model, keep limits on or, as last resort before touch ups, try using magnets to fix the offending areas. Nandus
Thread: Dualing import/export options .. Please Help | Forum: Poser Technical
Have you moved your plugin's folder from under Poser, before upgrading? This is very important, as mentioned by Larry in all his previous patches! Nandus
Thread: A Bryce question about Poser's new home. | Forum: Bryce
We just started a Poser5 wish list poll at Renderosity. Poser and Bryce integration is a must for all of us. It's now or never, so we must launch a joint Poser+Bryce effort as soon as possible. Nandus
Thread: Forest (as seen from a distance) | Forum: Bryce
Try multi-replicating the 2D trees that came with Bryce (Create > rocks and trees). They render very fast. For that distant forest, use a bluish color for ambience and a small bump to save time. You may see an example of those trees in my last pic at: http://www.renderotica.com/viewed3.ez?galleryid=2473&Start=37&Sectionid=0&BestRanking=Yes Nandus

Thread: Sorting morphs | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanks Techstuff, that's they way I'm doing it now. It's a cumbersome method, one mistake and deleting all the morph's stack on top of it!

Yes, compression affects quality a bit. I always use .JPG high quality (10), it reduces the size with few noticeable losses

Thread: A More fair comparison - P4NF, EVE & Victoria | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Looks like Victoria was based on a fashion model body. I don't like the hip - it is too long and pear shaped and the waist line is too high. They got rid of those thighs bulges and improved the side shape, but the front/back view is far from the ideal. They also shortened the thighs at the expense of the longer hip. It seems that knee joints improved a lot. I believe that we'll need much more morph work with Victoria than with Eve, to achieve an ideal body for nudes. On the other hand, a high resolution mesh will allow much more diversity and control for the morphs.
Thread: Millenium Woman Sneak Peek... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The facial mesh looks very promising and, from that pic, it looks that the belly is also improved. We'll start fom groud zero again. I can imagine how many new morphs may be created for this model face alone! The only part missing is the pocket!! How much it will cost us?
Thread: Rendering engines. | Forum: Bryce
I believe they had to be different. Bryce has a raytracing engine that follows all the light rays bouncing in objects, while Poser's uses shadows map and does a poor job at that. See the lighted inner nostrils when they should be in shadow. I heard many comments about LightWave giving the best results in the medium price range. As for Bryce's options, very important ones are missing, like depht of field, variable antialiasing, and pixel aspect ratio for correctly adjusting images to TV pixels format.
Thread: Magnet Zones: Is this possible? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're planning to render outside Poser, like in Bryce, you may try that: Scale up a copy of yor model to the XZ size you want the deformation area in matress. After that, scale it down in Y to shallow the depth deformation. Export it and use as a negative object in a boolean, were the matress is the positive one. The borders may show some problems. Perhaps if you flatten even more the double in Y, and apply some magnets to give it that S shape, you may get a more natural effect.
Thread: Poser/Bryce Texture Distortion | Forum: Bryce
Looks like smoothing will fix that. Select the model mesh. Click at the small E box at the attributes column close to the model - that one sends you to the smooth box. Sellect the angle and click at the left sphere to start. If you plan to do meshes booleans don't forget to set the make solid dot - that's the only place with this control. Sometimes smoothing does weird things to Poser meshes, specially with Eve models.
