PBooost(Hogwarden) & P.O.O.P(JHoagland) are the 2 best programs for organising the poser4 runtime, buy either or both & be amazed how much better poser will work :)

apologies to everyone I missed out in my original reply, I haven't looked very far for M3 textures as I don't have him yet. dkal the texture convertor is pc only at the moment, but if it's one of the things Daz bought from Dark Whisper it'll be on Mac at some point in the future.

Sydd Raven's Textures @ Runtime DNA would be a really good start (beachboy for M3) If you've got the Universal Texture Convertor with the M2/M3 plugins you can use your favourite M2 textures on M3

I had poser4 running on a 200Mhz Pentium with 64Mb Ram but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone else if you want to keep your hair ;) I'd suggest you stick to poser4 unless you can afford to either upgrade or buy a newer machine.

There's a step by step guide being worked on right now & should be ready within a couple of days over at PoserPros, watch out for the name Netherworks in the Poser5 forum :)

ps check out this website for removing all the memory hogging "services" that Microsoft want you to run in the background, most are unnecessary unwelcome or just plain dangerous to have running.Thread: Poser4 and XP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you can afford it bump up your memory even more, 256Mb (the k was a typo right?) is only just enough to run XP without adding poser to the mix.
