See everyone? The forum works! Not only were there some things I was looking for, but tons of meshes for other stuff that gave me new ideas and links that had even more detailed version of what I wanted!

Bumps are the highlights and dark spots. If you need to make a texture, get Map Magician in Funn Stuff. It will generate a texture "guide" you can paint over. To use Bumps, createa grey scale image type texture. Darker areas will be recesed and show less reflection. Use this to simulate scales and little bumps. If you have something specific in mind, e-amil me and I'll see what I can whip up.... I have done custome textures for poser people and love working with dragons.

seriously-go look at the one on chemical studios. I love this one... it's easliy used for either the big scarey dragon or scale it down for the cute little fire spitting pet.

#1: 17" that I alternate between 1280x1024 and 1024x768 (depends on which app or game I'm goofing around in) #2: Laptop w/15" (works out to that anyway) at 800x600... That and a pile of blank sketch books handy with lots of pre-sharpened pencils!

The scaling on the table is a little off unless she's only 4' tall, but the lighting and composition are great! Have you done this with different apiture settings (28mm, 35mm, 85mm and 105mm) and angles? Also-try clicking on her eyes and doing a "Object-point at" and aim them at the camera. Makes for a more "intimate" look without you having to tweek the eyes by hand.
