Yo! Punkclown SLAP! on the back love your pattern picture. Get a bit lost in it though :(, I think you need some focal point just to give the old eyes somewhere to rest, maybe a leaf or a frog, lol, something on the middle panel just to break up the pattern. Not sure about the colour one. I guess if you are going to use it in the trippy competition you will have to divide it up again. IDEA have you tried posterize this would really bring out the pattern of course it might just make it look naff, lol. Bigg Jeff rambles on his computer crashes, sigh! Not again!.

WOW! What a response. Bigg Jeff takes large intake of breath and starts typing. I think I have the idea, You can criticise as long as you explain why and you can pat on the back to your hearts content, I look forward to adding my comments to the forum and I will certainly be explaining if I dont like or understand a picture. As for the ones I like, large SLAPS! On the back all round. Got the Punk clown trippy thing, monthly competition thats sounds like it might be fun, will have to go check that out. Bigg Jeff CLICKS the competition link and hes off >>>>>>>>>>>>

I also love number one, if it's anything like my portrait work I bet this was number 36 on the roll just when your model gets to relax. What I would love is the full window in the shot like number six, as she is warming her feet in the window light I think this would add just one more component to the picture. Bet you can add it in photoshop.

Thread: Filtering out those filters......... | Forum: Photography
Don't do it, don't fit any filters do the filter work in photoshop, I have loads of pictures in my archive where I have used graduated grey, blue, red and orange filters. dream filters speed filters the list goes on, my god! I wish I hadn't used them. as you can guess I want the images but not the filter effects. If it were me starting out again I would drop the filters.

Thread: b/w and crop | Forum: Photography
This is a hard one I think you are right to crop out the top it's too light and draws your eye up out of the picture. I think the question is have you cropped enough? I would crop the left hand side to the edge of the tables, the window reflections and that black door frame distract the eye and draw you away from the point of interest, the figure, this would also move the figure over onto the thirds and give you a stronger composition. Hey but what do I know, if you like it, keep it like it.
