Personally I'd leave it as it is, the galleries are just a place where people can share images. There is no 'prize' in getting straight 5's just like there should be no penalty for getting straight 1's. Any rating system be it out of 10 or 100 or 1000 will have the 'people rate too high' aspect because by our very nature we do not want to hurt people's feelings. If you must make a change, strip the ratings altogether and merely have comments, that way people can say 'yeah, cool, but it could use....' My two pennies worth.

The sky is in the preset sunset gallery, I turned off all the ambient light rubbish which makes rocks glow and tweaked it a bit, but on the whole, it's just a preset that fitted what i wanted, saved me the effort :-)

Hmm, not sure what else to say, but it needs depth and particles, at the moment there isn't enough water essentially, are you using the full version? Make sure you render at Broadcast to get the best possible picture (Ultra if you've got an insane computer)

Thamks guys, appreciate the advice, I have uploaded one version of this image into the gallery under the title 'Memories of Green' which you can all look at, though I like the lake and foreground so I shall keep working on it in the future. Best wishes Jody

Oh thanks god, you're a genius :-) The only thing I hate about Vue is it's lack of built-in preset materials, sure it's editor is very powerful, but not everybody has the time to sit around and create new materials for every picture, Bryce was nice because it was relatively easy to get something you wanted quickly by modifying the presets, Vue is a little less quick that way. But groovy, well done. Jody

The scale of the vegetation is a something I'm 50% about, I think it looks rather cool big, still, I can play around. The atmosphere is really tricky, espeically as it takes about 30 minutes to check each change :-)
