What formats can you export? Before downloading and learning, it would be a help to know that our final output will be useful, even if the models supplied aren't. Carolly (who has averaging more than 1 new piece of software each month)
Thread: Looking for regular glasses for WiP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
With little round glasses, he'll look a bit like Ben Franklin. I have sunglasses, secretary glasses, round harry-potterish glasses, have to go look in the files for reading glasses... will let you know if I've found any and who made them.
Thread: PPP No Bum | Forum: Poser Technical
May I suggest something? Please check the amount of MEMORY you now have allocated to PPP. When I installed it, it reset to factory defaults (bare minimum) from the 200MB I'd given Poser4. Why did I give Poser4 200MB when I haven't started using Vicki or Michael? (Isn't Cammy a Vicki version?) Too many layers of textures on my little guys! Once they are dressed and propped, they can easily have a dozen texture maps applied to them. The error message would say "can't find bump map" or "can't find texture map" and then it would crash cold. I have no idea why it would say that it couldn't find the bump map when it really was out of the memory to go hunting for it, but I don't write error messages. (If I did, they would be friendlier and helpful.) Anyway, try allocating more memory to the program and see if that helps. Carolly
Thread: Magic the Gathering or other CCG fans here? | Forum: Challenge Arena
George, "What the hell..." I'm a sysop on CompuServe, in the TradingCards Forum, where we play Magic online, among other things. I'd never address a new member with an off-putting remark like that. But my job is to foster community, not chase it away. What I meant was that there are some Magic artists who go for gross-out ugliness, and there are others who create some beautiful images. As John Gardner wrote, we as artists have a responsibility not to add any more ugliness to the world. There are artists besides Anson to mimic, you know! But if you give topics such as "Festering Cheese" the odds are very good that the resultant art will show decay and corruption and those other things that Anson and his buddies relish. I have been playing Magic since December '93, and miss the work of Quinton and Margaret and Rob and Kaja. It is all comicbook stuff, now. Pity. Carolly

Well, I'd be interested... but it looks like you guys are going for gross. :( There is enough ugly art in the world already.
