Looks like an ambience problem.......try turning down the ambience on the ground material, see if that helps.

Might want to look here first, and do a search in the poser forum concerning problems with p5.Thread: Unexpected Cloud Hues | Forum: Bryce
If you increase the altitude of the sun, I bet they will go away.... Just one of the odd things bryce does. If that doesn't work, I've heard good things about burning black candles and rattling chicken bones.

Very strong feelings on both sides of the fence with this issue. Both sides have some very strong points. My biggest fear is that Iran and Turkey are going to jump in...

I think it is the way rhino meshes a split surface. It triangulates the edges, maintaining great accuracy but giving poser a hard time keeping the edges welded. My suggestion is to export from rhino without splitting the model, then import into uvmapper and do your grouping there. Some people use the grouping tool in poser to make the groups, but I have an easier time doing it in uvmapper.

This one's got some grayscales of Australia....a little bit of touchup is nessisary around the edges, but they are pretty useful.Thread: That Arthurian room 2nd WIP..got shadows, any better? | Forum: Bryce
I was gonna say it wasn't dark enough....heheh My own personal opinion here, but I suggest lowering the ambiance settings on your materials or using a darker ambiance color in the skylab. Also, the fire on the torches could benefit from being less uniform....all the flames look identical, and that's just not natural.

As for Lemurtek's second nature series, they can be found at 3d arena's freestuff archive. Very cool figures.Thread: corrupted mesh character..need help fixin it | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One other thing....try importing the raw obj from the geometries folder. I'm betting it will look fine (did with the character I was/am having trouble with). In my case, the cr2 has alot of added geometry, I'm assuming for added material groups. Could be the problem, but heck if I know how to fix it.

Are you by any chance using propack? I've had more than one figure that looked fine in p4 have holes showing in propack... I'd also like to know what causes this, and how to fix it.

Thread: I NEED HELP WITH THE HAIR IN POSER! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Two links for ya.... http://digitalbabes2.com/ http://digitalcrafts.e.fiw-web.net/ Best hair out there that I'm aware of. The hair that came with poser4 are weak, at best. Allerleirauh did a nice remap and transmap for the conforming hair figure, but I'm not sure if it's still available.
Thread: Looking for braided hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The 'Bo derek' hair recently posted in freestuff might work, and the 'project Lara' over at animotions has some very nice hair in a single long braid. Also, Maya did some dreadlocks not long ago. Thorne made a posable braid that is very useful. If you need links, I'll look them up for you. Not sure about African clothing, Willjen had a Zulu warrior character in freestuff, but his site has been down for quite awhile now.

When bryce asks for an mtl, any mtl will do, just point it to one. Thanks for the heads-up.
