Great manipulation. Unfortunately, yes, the waste does have to go somewhere, but thanks to public pressure at least when this gets to the point where it's no longer viable it should be landscaped and become useful to society again. Unfortunately it's amazing how much of this 'rubbish' can be recycled... not just your plastics and papers but the metals too... they only do the profitable stuff though :-( Onslow, totally agree, and Tedz, shame on ya!! If your house bin is full do you throw your rubbish in the street? (",)

snigger I used to work with a girl who's erm, how can I put it? erm... quite candid about her personal life. She quite happily admitted that for a short time while she was stopping with her sister she became quite.... frustrated... a couple of times and employed her electric toothbrush for.... shall we say, alternative uses... And yes, she continued to clean her teeth with it too. Some people have NO standards!!! (",)

Ditto, Steve. I can't see the joins either..... if you think this is wrong then you're too much of a perfectionist :-)
Mind you, that nasty green bin could do with being removed, imo ;-)
(",) btw, Where in the country is this? Cheers

Thread: Surreal.. I think | Forum: Photography
p.s. I think where the problem is visually with your picture and why you are having difficulty getting it right is all down to perspective; the visual perspective of the waves is shallow, but they go high in the picture and don't get small enough to be going into the distance. In the meantime, the perspective of the trees is shallow/medium, and you can't see the bottom of the trees at the back when we're used to. I think there's a perspective filter or two out there that might help, but I'll be damned if I can remember it's name. Anyone? (",)

Tedz, You Total B'stard!!! Here I am overdosing on Extra-Strength tablets to stop the toothache, knowing that I can't get a damn appointment until Monday evening, caking my pants coz he'll want to get near me with a needle, and knowing I won't be able to get Gas until next weekend. And you post a toothbrush picture. Real sweet. Am I really THAT scared of needles? Damn right I am. Last time I had a filling in a wisdom tooth without anaesthetic coz he told me it would take 3 needles to numb it..... (",) oh, btw - good pic! lol

sticks index fingers in ears, pulls mouth wide open with thumbs, stretches (admittedly long) tongue right out, curls nose, rolls eyes up to just show the white's and finds that I can't make a raspberry noise at the same time (",)

Don, excellent talk-through, made even better by the postworking! (",) (I've deleted my earlier comment to give your description more fluidity, and because in retrospect this isn't the time to discuss that :-D ) (",)

Great shots Randy, I'm honestly jealous.... but why can't the birds sit in better places? Those spiky trees do my eyes in ;-) (And why has that last Bluey got a woody?!? lol) (",)

Tallpockets, an excellent observation and comment. If I'm not mistaken, many moons ago we had a brief discussion about taking it in turns to do exactly that sort of thing but nothing really happened with it. Mods, wanna consider starting that up as a regular thing? Maybe a volunteer a fortnight? That way we should get a good selection of 'purist' photographers who can shed a bit of light on how they mentally crop an image before pressing the shutter, and 'postworkers' who find it easier to do that with the picture in front of them? Thread: Priceing of Images for use on the internet. | Forum: Photography
I'd say it depends more on what value YOU place on the images. If they're images that it would be hard for someone to get something similar, or are a unique event, aim high and let them talk you down a little bit. If they're good photo's but the sort of image most good photographers could come up with, aim a bit lower. If you're verbally quoting them, let them know the results of your research! If you just want, say, $300, tell them that the going rate is $165.00 for 3 years but you'll let them go for the $300..... Let's face it, for 10 pics they're gonna expect a bulk price anyways. Lordy, if I was asked I'd personally snatch $1000 for all ten and run like fook......! Actually, I'd probably settle for $250 and still be smiling. Come to think of it, if there was an attractive secretary who..... ahem yeah, well, you get the idea.... (",)

Our cat fights back if you carry her near the front door.... she's definately a house cat, and Bennie seems to have adopted the pose Salem is in 99% of her life. 1% is spent eating. I'm in the wrong body.....
