hi englishbob,
maybe simply say.... how can i setup the collision detection for the skirt (rename as hip) which is part of the character bodyparts ?
any advise on how you do the morphing approach ?
i check the cloth room and couldn't find any morph tools .
and how do you link the morphs to the leg movement ?

tks for your advise englishbob, i really appreciate it.
at first, i thought bertha's skirt is just bending too ( after watching philc tut creating an extra bone
as a bodyhandle for the bending ), but i just couldn't find the extra bone in bertha bones setup...
is there one in it ?
you are right that i agreed this is not the best solution for me, its just not natural.
ok, my aim is mainly to create and model of my own character, (not by using existing cloth or prop ) require simple animation like walking, running, jumping. skirt will not poke the feet...etc !
don't need to be too complex, draping, dynamic is not too important.
it could be realism or toony. example i've model and rigged a woman wearing a long skirt, its in one whole piece, i do not want to create the skirt as a seperate object and import as 'prop'.
so, in this case, what'd be the best method to clothify it ?
i'll go read your tut after this post.

could i have some advise from you ?
how do you do the morphs method and to link with the leg movement ?
and
does cloth setup only works on props ? the skirt that i've is part of the character,
similar as Bertha ( see image on top ). will this work in cloth setup ?

hi drapak12 and trekkiegrrl, really appreciate for your help.
i checked phic tut and found its limitation, its not what i wanted to do. what i wanted is a walking leg with the skirt flow and follow the leg just like a real human skirt movement, not just bending :)
the method that you both mentioned..... i really keen to learn it.... do you know if there are any
tutorials in details where can be found in the net ?
i've no idea what is clothify and dynamic are, and i'm going to find out more....
i'm sure i'll come back and have more questions about it
