I have been watching several posts regarding using copyrighted characters...
I remember when I was a kid and wanted a picture of Disney's Uncle Scrooge on a sweatshirt for myself (1 and ONLY 1 would have been made).
I was the good law abiding citizen, and wrote Disney, asking permission to use one of their characters for a personal sweatshirt that would not be mass produced.
Their response, in a nut shell...nope
So, I let it go. The moral of this...
If it were me, I wouldn't take the chance on offering it to the public, even as a freebie. Even though most of the people here are honest, all it takes is one single person, to get YOU in legal trouble, if they use it for a video clip (can't poser do videos?) or advertising.
I know you can do fan art, and post it, heck everyone does it, and I don't think you can get into any trouble.
I think (and correct me lawyers) by law you have to change something by 10-20% from the original to use it (beyond eye color, etc).
But, if you REALLY want to do these characters, their proper names, and offer them as a freebie, I would check Renderosity's rules regarding this sort of thing, and even check to see if the characters of the movie are copyrighted.
Another option, change the names and don't reference Disney in anyway, shap or form...after all...how many anglo-saxxon females are available for sale?

I was thinking the same thing Lilliana about the differences (besides the packaging :lol: )
When I saw Poser 7 was going to come out ("soon"...hahaha), I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of the three versions (5,6,7).
While it looks spiffy, like all new versions that come out, I'm sure there will be some bugs that crop-up.
I have Poser 5, and I'm happy with it. I think I will just sit and wait to see what everyone, who orders Poser 7 thinks of it.

I have to add something here (imho), because I DID vote
You might want to add what type of connections people are using (to be fair to you).
Since Renderosity is so graphic intensive, dial-up will take a lot longer than other sites, while people with cable, won't experience that slow down.

Well...lol
After I cleaned up my libraries and other files, I decided to keep Daz afterall.
I felt that it still had enough benefits to warrant keeping, besides...1GB is NOT that much space, when you consider a Poser character can take up to 22,000 KB (even compressed).

I have nothing against Daz Studio, as that is how I found Renderosity and a host of other graphic sites. If I didn't have Poser 5, I'd still use Daz.
However, since I have a laptop with a small hard drive (60GB), space is limited (albeit, I have over 65% of the drive free).
I was just wondering if I removed it, would I break something somewhere in Poser in the process
