To be honest, this scene is not only a scene from the WOT but from my dreams as well. The Wheel has often been a catalyst for my forays into Lucid Dreaming, or Tel'aran'rhiod, as we know it... And in my dreams, the Heart of the Stone of Tear's floor is covered in blood, like in the first two here. But I'm also trying to retain accuracy to the story, which depicts the floor as worn grey stone slabs... So, the smattering of red is my compromise. I doubt I'll keep it that way in the real image, probably more of a blend between number 1 and 4 here, in terms of the floor. Thanks for all of your feedback!

If it's a smooth model, you could try exporting it as a .3ds model or a .dxf, crank up the polys, and see if Bryce will smooth it acceptably? If it's not a smooth model, like something faceted or angular, then I'd stick to .dxf or .3ds anyway...

One thing to try in case you haven't before, Blonderella, is when using a volumetric fog, turn down the Volume Quality while preview rendering. Then when you're ready to render, turn it back up to 50 or so... Might look funny in preview mode, but it will preview much, much faster and allow you to actually develop your scenes still. I have plenty of really cool fogs and cloud materials, if you want any to play with, let me know and I'll email them to you. If you're not certain what the hell I'm talking about, I'll email your a quick sample project file to mess with!

Okay, so let's look at the common denominators... WINGS? If so, try importing the model into another program before exporting it to Bryce. WaldoMac, if you don't have another program, email me the object file and I'll run it through PolyTrans or Rhino... We'll get to the bottom of this.

Len... Just go to the Bryce Forum search and type in "Global Illumination", "Radiosity", or simply, "Ornlu", and you will find your necessary imagery for withdrawing kindly. I wasn't trying to threaten or bug ya with the false-advertising statement, but like I've said before, there's nothing "pro" about pro-render. Lowercase intentional. Perhaps entitle it, "grainy-render", or "near-grainy-photo-render", or not-so-simply, "takes too long for a professional to consider it render". Much more accurate. And Len, we will always be friends. If you feel angry towards me, just look at my stupid screen name. I'm sure you could have just as much fun dissecting it's implications as I have disassembling your "product".

Pogmahone, content aside... Nobody would ever mistake Jocko's image for one of those you posted. Those are paintings, and took imagination and skill and above all, TIME to create. There are massive details and above all ORIGINAL concepts in those images. It would take me all of 15 minutes to create Jocko's image. And that's if I was rendering something else already, in the background. This holds true for ALL of his images. BUT, at the same time, I feel the need to stand for something and not stand for two or more conflicting things. I think this image violates the TOS in the same way that actual intercourse would. I think it's blatant. He is trying to say (although there's a massive language barrier) that people who don't agree with his "morals" should go to hell. So, everyone in this thread should go to HELL, according to Jocko. An insult? Not really, I don't believe in hell. A slap in the face? Again, who cares, it's just photons we're looking at. A constantly annoying form of "artwork"? Yep, he just doesn't get it. Crayons would better suit this image, or perhaps fingerpaint.
