English Bob is correct. However, splitting faces makes the edges unnaturally sharp. The better way is to slightly bevel the offending edges, or if your model permits, to avoid increasing face count, move adjacent edges much closer.
I don't use max so this may not even be relevant, but another possible alternative if it is a subdivision object is to simply increase the 'tension' or 'creasing' - as it is sometimes called - on those edges as well.

I told someone at work the other day, "If the objective weren't the occasional piece of art, I might as well just be playing with virtual Barbie Dolls :D" For the preservation of testosterone, we can refer to them as male and female 'action figures' ;)

Patricia, too much compression on a jpeg can make 'em crappy, since it's a lossy form of compression. ladynimue, you're welcome.

Unless it's just waaaay to tiny, if the quality is good and appeals to me, I'll use it. Bigger is probably better as you scale down without losing quality. The reverse is not true.

Aviticus, the best real world correlation I can think of is this: Focal length is like the distance between the lens and the film ( ever see one of those telephoto zoom lenses that stick way out in front of the camera? )After that you can still back-up or get closer to your subject with the whole camera in hand. There isn't really any real world correlation to 'scale' except that maybe if you have an itty bitty model by some itty bitty bugs and want a normal perspective view from some other itty bitty person, you can do in the virtual world something you can't do in real life and make your camera itty bitty too. Tho' most people just scale the models and leave the camera alone.

Poser itself seems to be conceptually inspired by the works of Andrew Loomis. Just look at the stick figures. Using "Display | Guides | Head Lengths" she does indeed appear to be about 8 3/4 of 'em tall.

"Boob close-ups always work" LOL! Yeah I've noticed that. I settled on a thumbnail which is actually a little over half of the image. Thanks for your input.

Well silly me! I answered my own question. Details are on page 157 of your Poser manual and page 158 shows that 'yes' there is that UVs button, that I haven't ever found any tutorials on anywhere. Hmmmmmmm. . . . because it does more than just tiling. Anyway the Grouping Tool is the Editing Tools button that looks like a dashed square with a dot in it, ( mine is the last one on the right, I guess its that way for everyone) but I've actually done most of my tiles with UVMapper too. :)

Thanks everyone! Based on your opinions, I made a completely different thumbnail. But when uploaded I couldn't make up my mind on the genre! LOL! Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Come hither? I was thinking it looked more like she just went thither, or like that tired smile a mother gives her child at the end of the day. I'll buy the come hither though because it also looks like the expression of dreamily reveling in the possibilities that usually accompanies a come hither look. Not to demean anything, but it could also mean she's under the influence of [name intoxicant here] and likes it.

On the contrary. . . well before I put my foot 'all' the way in my mouth, does Poser 4 without ProPack have a grouping tool and "Create Perspective UVs" button on it's controls? If so, that'll do the trick. It works much like English Bob's tute but since you can scale the camera and the output window, you have more control.

Art can be percieved as non-verbal communication. You posted here so you obviously have something to say. Try a piece about your block and see where that goes.

It's spelled that way? I always thought it would be D'lynn but I never looked it up. Lynn is my middle name so its probably just vanity on my part :)

Geordi. . . perhaps this should not surprise me as an android, but it does: my tricorder has spontaneously become sentient and is now addressing me as 'MaMa'.
