Thread: 3DMF files? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally, I'm sick of .max and 3dmf! I haven't found free a utility to convert them yet, but there's a few no-so-free ones that apparently work beautifully. I wish people would stop posting .max files, too. It's too expensive for the rest of us. 3dmf is a BIG problem, because there's some decent sites that have models in that format that I can't use in Bryce or Poser. Grrrrrrr.

Excellent models....be very careful. I suppose its okay to download them, just don't repost or use them.

Okay, I play D&D too, and I have some bad-ass characters that I am working on in Poser, but they would see her and run.

Pretty good. I would like to see more of these type of projects. My only complaint would be that it looks more sci-fi than medieval. There should be a few noticable gaps between pieces where you'd see the chainmail.
Thread: .DXF Architectural Program For Poser Import | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It may be more trouble than it's worth, but you might as well just build your house out of primitives in Bryce. That is what I do for anything that is not too complex like curved walls. I've gotten so good at doing this, I've made detailed castles and medieval cities in Bryce alone. A house shouldn't be too tough.

The .dxf file standard does not support exporting textures. Your better off using another format if you want to keep tex info. Poser is terrible for importing files. Your best bet is to use some type of file translator after designing the house then using Bryce to do the textures. Use another format like 3ds, 3mf or obj to keep the object separate.
Thread: Troll WIP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is what a "troll" really would look like, at least according to Scandinavian folklore. Good job. D&D never got it right, making a troll look like a mummified clown.
Thread: Corel bought KPT, Painter and Bryce! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Metacreations said the will make an announcement about Poser's buyer later this week. Are we all biting our nails? Zygote makes sense, but Metacreations will probably charge more than Zygote can afford, they are a pretty small company.

Personally, I prefer rootbeer schnapps, but any kind will do on a weekend. How about some cute bikini-clad babes on the boat checking out the whales? Just a thought.
Thread: Castle Rear View | Forum: Bryce
I really do not want anyone to feel bad because there castle isn't as good as this one...it takes a person with NO LIFE outside the computer to spend THIS much time building something that is to big to share with anyone else! Thanks for your input.
Thread: Castles? Me too! Big image | Forum: Bryce
The texture is from Chemical Studios (oldbrick2, I think). Some floor and walls are also from them. The roof tex is tentative. I haven't found a decent one yet, so I'll keep looking. Thanks for the input.
Thread: 600.00 USD for a model!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Keep this in mind: I asked Zygote for a quote on a knight in full plate mail for personal use only: $4000.00. A lot of work goes into creating one of those models - yes even a dolphin! If they charge $199.00 for something like Millie, that is definitely fair in my eyes. look around on the web, some 3D companies charge A TON OF CA$H for custom models. Zygote is still pretty cheap when you compare them to others.
