Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 10 9:07 am)
The looks depend on what kind of armor you want to do. If its a medieval realistic one no part should bend. The pieces should have open areas to allow movement (the back of the knees, the hip/thights joint, etc) that show the chainmail underneath. I recall medieval armors had movile pieces on the front, back and sides of the hip and bigger kneepads. Of course, if it's a sci-fi armor, it can be as flexible as you want. So far it looks very good. Rorschach
ooh! i think it looks cool! (and seems to work nicely.) not realistic, sure, but cool nonetheless. you can 'fix' the hip by hitting ctrl-i and turning off the bend properties for it. then it won't, well, bend, obviously. :) of course, then you could have some trouble with the legs poking through it.

These are my first attempts at modeling comforming figures for Poser - everything below the belt (pants and boots). I know conforming armor sounds a little strange but I just didn't like the results when I made props. I'm asking for comments on their general appeal and suggestions for improvements. I will UV map them the modeling is finished. - - brschmidt
