Though I'd still call myself a hobbyist, I was able to do several commercial jobs using Poser and Vue over the past 6 months. Not enough to make it a living, but a lot more I ever exspected in the beginning. :))) Phil

Guitta, it looks like everything's been said by now. And I'm glad that you'll be having some more time to do some new images, since I always admired them a lot! I think you did a fantastic job over the past two years and you played a huge role making the Vue froum a wonderful place to be. I wanted to thank you for all the help and support you provided the whole community whith and IMHO agiel is the right person in being your successor. :))) I'm looking forward to your future images and whish you all the best! Phil :)

Hi thomllama, welcome to the club and I'm shure you'll be having lots of fun with Vue. I'm one of the few mac users over here, so I'd be more than happy to help out if you're having any issues with Vue and your mac. Just let me know if you need help. :) PhilThread: transparency and volumetric lighting - a workaround | Forum: Vue
Great! Many thanks for the little tut, Laurent. This was exactly the problem I encountered several times before. The thread will go directly on my list of VIB (very important bookmark). ;) Cheers, Phil

Hi Esther, still into Poser-import-troubles, hu? :( Since I have the same machine like you (G4 MP500, 1.2GB RAM, OSX 10.3.2) I'm wondering what the problem might be. I have the previous version of VuePro (don't have the Build# available right now) and the import works just fine for me. I suggest you re-point VuePro to Poser5 by renaming your Poser4 folder just like wabe suggested. Keep us updated about the results or send me an IM. Phil

Thread: Gen-U-Wine Vue Plants? | Forum: Vue
Maybe Guitta can asnwer this. As far a I know Vue uses it's very own generator to create the plants. Therefore I doubt that it will work with imported plants. You can import them, but you won't be able to edit them in Vue (e.g. adding branches), besides changing their textures and size. But as I said, Guitta might have the answer. :) Phil

Believe it or not. When I tried the map again yesterday evening it worked without crashing VuePro! Strange things happen sometimes. ;) Anyway, many thanks for your help!!! Phil

Yes, Guitta. That's exactly what I did. I made the map in Photshop and saved it as a BMP as seen in my second post. Maybe Walther can reproduce this problem himself. ;) Thanks, Phil
