While SteffyZZ has disappeared from Renderosity she pointed out that it was possbile to reduce the resolution of texture maps and thus speed up render time. Maybe "polygon" is a bad choice of words.

If you use the default interpolation the figure will gradually start its move in the first frame. When in doubt keyframe.

I spoke with my tech guy today who services and sells my computer stuff and apparently only a few of the top end P4 motherboards allow for more than 1 gig of RAM. Also, according to him the ram cannot be fully utilized unless I get a special hard drive that spins/retrieves data faster. Tell me though as a tech guy would you reccomend going with the new RDRAM or the older SDRAM. There's a big difference in price and I think that the new motherboard that allows for more than 1 gig or RAM might only use the newer more expensive type. For anyone who's interested the m-boards that allow more than 1 gig of ram are limited to 16 gig of ram. A dual CPU system is definitely out of the question at least for the next couple of years, its apparently more complex to put together than I thought. If nothing else thanks for the tip on where to go for good prices Silver. Yours truly, Farang

Very talented artist, I noticed that Japanese Poser people don't usually put their freebies on Renderosity.

Is that right that if you post a movie on your web page using real that people can't download it? What if you compressed the Real file using Winzip or some other application, would that make it downloadable, have you tried that? Also, forgive me for sounding like an ignoramous but whats the difference between a MOV file and and AVI file?

I use notepad to edit them but when I save them they never get saved as such but instead become notepad files. I thought about buying a CR2 editor but I've already burned up my monthly budget for this new hobby of mine. Is there some trick to editing CR2 files in notepad or wordpad and not having them revert to note or wordpad files?
Maxx, real briefly how would you create a mat file? Thats an area that I haven't studied yet, are there any tutorials out there?
