Well, I tried selecting the Ground in the Properties and tried unchecking the Visible checkbox. I knew about that. That does not take care of it. The render still comes out with a color around all the figures. Will the Display-->Guides-->Ground Plane work in making the Construct invisible? I'll also look into the Control+G. I did go to the Material Room and The Construct folder. There were various colors and options for it, but nothing I clicked on made the Construct invisible.
Thread: genesis 3 in Poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I suppose you've seen the above. I'm on a Macintosh, though, and I think this only works with Windows. I'm using DAZStudio as well as Poser, and use DS for genesis 3 (and 2, and 1) figures. I wrote to Smith Micro, when they requested that I fill out a survey, that they need to get Poser updated or fixed, in a future version, such as Poser 12 Pro, so that the new genesis figures (1, 2, 3, and whatever) will work in Poser.
I've read arguments about why Smith Micro will never do that, but I think they're going to lose out if they don't.
I've also read suggestions that I should buy a Windows emulator, such as Wine, and run that freebie that way.
No, I think that the simple solution, for Macintosh users anyway, is to use DS as well as Poser, which of course may eventually lead people away from Poser, and cause Smith Micro to lose profits. And, of course, eventually Poser may just stop being developed. How many people will buy Poser 12 Pro, if the situation remains as it is now? (Lest you think I'm abandoning Poser: I would! I'm buying Poser, at least the next version. Guess I'm hooked on it. So, see, I really am a Poser supporter.)
I still prefer Poser, at least for posing, but . . .
And as far as something which Smith Micro will never do, or just is impossible, I remember when, at times, a Macintosh user would wish that Apple would switch to using Intel chips instead of sticking with the Motorola chips (for the boost in speed), and the technical know-how people would make fun of such wishful thinking and point out that it was completely impossible to do and could never happen. (And they had numerous reasons to illustrate why such a wish was absurd.) So, I'm saying, yes, it is possible.
If Smith Micro wants Macintosh people to stay with Poser, they had better start rewriting some parts of Poser so that genesis figures can be imported.
Thread: Poser 11 Pro 11.05 on Macintosh | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Oh, a different Forum? Oops, sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. OK, I'll look for another forum, and I'll keep in mind a refresh button found bottom right. (Seems like the entire Library panel is blank, but I'll check.) Thanks.
You are right, ironsoul: There is a greyed out Refresh button in the bottom right corner. I clicked on it, and all the Runtimes appeared in the Library. Thank you very much.
Thread: Removing Morphs from Saved Poses | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Thanks for the tip on MorphManager, bantha. I'm on a Mac, by the way. I read the "Help" file for MorphManager. It doesn't specify if it works on a Macintosh. Do you happen to know?
Thread: Removing Morphs from Saved Poses | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Well, if I open the files in a text editor, for what do I look? What do I delete? Are the morphs all in one place, and labeled something like "Body Morphs"? Or are they spread out over the body parts, such as "Hip," "Forearm," etc.? I wouldn't want to make a mistake. Is there a tutorial< with clear examples, for how to do this?

Thread: Transparency or Invisibility with SuperFly Shaders? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, actually, I have been doing that. And I have looked in the Poser manual. Well, if I add a PoserSurface root node, I can't figure out how to connect it to the Cycles or Superbly node. I've tried dragging the hookups from one to the other, but they don't hook up. The Poser manual "explains" about the various kinds of nodes, but it doesn't explain or illustrate how to connect the two. At least, I have not been able to find that information. I have done searches in the manual. No luck.
And no, I could not figure out how to save a transparent shader and load it on any material.
I did watch the "webinar" on the SuperFly shaders. So, I am trying.

OK, well maybe the problem is one of those two: (1) I'm unaware of how to add a Poser Surface root node; or (2) I don't know how to save a "transparent" shader and load it on any material.
