How to fix this? Not at all.
There are two different textures on head and body - the body includes the neck. The head texture alone is usually as big as the whole body texture. As you might guess, this is the reason that the body texture is almost always less detailed.
But how would it work any other way? The average head texture today is about 2500x2500 pixels, as is the body texture. Blowing up the body texture in a photo editing program will not help you, as it would become a) too large in file size and b) the detail would not become more.
You could try and size the head map down - to about a quarter of the size of the body texture. Then you would have less detail in the head texture - but the two textures would look the same - 'pixelized' in as close renders as the above mentioned.
Or you could avoid rendering extreme large closeups of exactly that area - meaning, head and neck. Then no one will notice - most don't.
Could not help, but hope the advice helps even though... ;-)
Best wishes,
Sabine

LOVE them! Had to use one of them right away as a background for my new image at the Member's Gallery ;-)
Thread: P4/P5 installation using both the same folders? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Exactly what I wanted to know & have - so it would work! Yay! Thank you both! :-) Best wishes, Sabine

Thread: How to change your own username? | Forum: Community Center
Sorry - at the moment I can just ask hypothetical questions, as I don't know yet what the store staff will do about that readme file which contains a 'wrong' name ;-) I was also not speaking about two merchants. I was speaking about myself, if I would change my name (meaning, if I would get a second account). Sorry, I thought I had made that clear... Perhaps I should just wait and see if the texture I submitted will pass the store staff testing. Then I can still think about what to do.
Thread: How to change your own username? | Forum: Community Center
Hmmmm... So what will the store staff probably do with my submission (which is probably still tested)? In the readme file I wrote "Texture by Naergilien and Kharessa" (the latter is my muse; so I found it important to mention her...) and, as an end note, "Best wishes, Naergilien aka SPothmann"... Will the submission be returned to me because of the name? And what if - only if - I should decide to register this name as a second name - is it then possible a) to (in case that the texture is accepted even with the "wrong" name in it) transfer the texture from one merchant account to the other; or b) does the texture have to be deleted from the one account and then be re-submitted by the other (is that possible at all?) OR c) if it's likely that the texture will be returned to me anyway because of the naming, would it make sense to right away open another account and aubmit the texture once more? Sorry for asking so many (probably really dumb) questions... I know I should have found out if it was possible to change the name before submitting the texture, but, as I have said, I thought it would be easy to change the name (stupid head, should not think...).
Thread: How much did your longest rendering take? | Forum: Bryce
FIRST, if you REALLY want to DO something in Bryce and not only want to "play around" with it -> buy it! It is worth MUCH MORE than an "8 hours download time", and the developers deserve EVERY CENT for it. Secound, just because you do not understand a program at first sight, it does not necessarily mean that it is not basically easy to use. Third, with the bought version of Bryce comes a great printed manual, and if you have read it two or three times (I have mine in the bathroom for two years now, and each time I have "nothing else to do" there I am re-reading some lines!) you will think that Bryces' menus are supereasy and logical to use. And, last not least, four: The full version of Bryce does not have any time limit, you can take as much time as you want to play with it. Seriously: Did you think that all these great Bryce artworks that are shown here in Renderosity come from Artists or result from people playing with trial versions for 30 days...? If you want a program to work great for you, you have to spent time with it and time on it, and you have to love it and be patient with it, thats it, and it is that simple, and then it will work great. If you hate the programs you are working with you will never ever get anywhere with 3D computer graphics. This is how I found my way to Poser, Bryce, TrueSpace and PhotoPaint - I just love these programs! Sincerely, Sabine

the link doesn't work because there is one "http://" too much, this was my fault. I have added the correct link to this posting, I cannot edit the old one. By the way, *I* can even still open (and work in) Poser, Photopaint and any other program while Bryce is rendering, and my email program is of course working all the time too. At the moment, Bryce is rendering again, so you see that I can even work with my Browser :-)! Guess this depends on how much RAM you have. About your electricity, well, at least here in Germany it is like that that the one who rented yourhouse to you (or is it your own?) *MUST* care for a good and *WORKING* electricity, and if he / she does not, you can take a percentage of about 20% off your monthly rent for the house until he / she does - I do not know if this is the same where you live? - *AND* if *anything* should happen just because your computer was turned on it will be the fault of your landlord - not yours. For this image, I have used *no* volumnetric lights settings, just some spots and light spheres *do not want to think about what would have been if I used volumnetric light here*. Sincerely, SabineThread: How much time did your longest rendering take? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
...but Poser does not really "render", and the Bryce images look much better, apart from the fact that you have far more possibilities to play with materials / textures / settings and that Poser is not able to do a real reflection. And these are the reasons that, for difficult scenes, I prefer using Bryce. Sincerely, Sabine
Thread: Poser or Terragen scene on a religion web site? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Uhm, just to prevent misunderstandings for other people here. GGIs for websites are different stuff than you describe here. Tome, this special picture there looks as if it was a simple and plain Bryce render. The one who made it even used default materials for the terrains and the water. After looking at more than this picture there, I can say for sure: Yes, this was all Bryce made.

You are sure that you are working with both the animation window and the walk designer? You can edit the head-, arms- and so on movement there.
Thread: Anyone wiith DVD / Video Capture card here? Need help with "The Mummy"... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
...EXACTLY like this :-))) Uhm, now I will have to make a bump & metal texture map for that cat as well :-( And - grrr! - once more I will have to make another prop: that thing she is wearing around her arm has an ornament on it. Grrr. I thought it was flat without anything on it. This is getting more and more into some kind of "perfection" thing I guess... Sincerely, Sabine

...at the files in your poser installation folder? Maybe some of them are set to "write protected" (you can look this up in the explorer by right clicking on each file). Just remove the wirting protection, and try again. HTH, Sabine
