about file size: I've just been reading through my new copy of RWB4 and apparently turning off AutoKey for a scene will reduce the size significantly. Probably too late now but something to keep inmind for future

The cloth looks great and perfectly natural around the upper table. the only part I notice that looks unnatural is around the edge on the lower table; it looks a bit stiff

Oh also, I'm not familiar with terragen but are the terrains created using a hieght map image? You could obviously take that image into the terrain editior and get your terrain that way.

If you can, you might try exporting the terrain as a .3ds which I believe is generally a smaller file. I may be wrong

You might also experiment with using a symmetrical lattice set to "solid when boolean rendering" and then stretch and boolean it to get the exact shape you want. Metaballs also might be an alternative

You might try using terrains for the bridge. A booleaned and elongated torus might work for cables. Hope this helps

thanks for that link, it sounds like a great plugin. I've been trying to do something like that manually by rendering the inside of a sphere and then adjusting each light intensity and color individually. This sounds much less tedious.
