Thanks a lot Cindy. Now i know what you've meant .. and i like it. Have to sleep some days over that .. let's see what will finally happen to this image :) And .. even if you dont make big bucks with it, to me you are an artist. Maybe, i can agree on that big mouth instead? Ahhh .. lol Sorry, but i'm sure you don't get that wrong! :-) hugz and a great afternoon to you. Have to find my way into bed in time this time yawns Tom

Thank you Jinx and Louis!! :-)) Hmmm Cindy ... do you have spare 30 minutes? If you so wish, i can send you the image in 900*600 without any postwork just for you to play with? Of course, that's demanding a lot .. sorry .. just an idea as i'd love to see how a real artist such as you would do that job :-) hugz Tom

Thread: Looking for a Macro lens for my Nikon... | Forum: Photography
Hello Michael, "some issues" as dear Michelle stated :-). Yep .. listed them in another thread but to make that short, it comes to one point: you get what you pay for. The Sigma 105 2.8 EX is not at all a bad lens, you can do great shots with her (hey, my most successful ones - the droplets - were done with her) .. but you can't expect the (mechanical) quality of a canon L-lens (or the high-end Nikkors) for 400 Euros. So if this is what you are willing to pay, than get her and have fun! If there's more money to spend (or more quality wanted) .. sorry, can't help than as that's out of my league and i dunno nothing on the Nikkors. :-( The longer macros (180 / 200 mm) are hard to work with (in my humble opinion) .. and as Michelle and Wolf already said .. less than 100 is to short for some animals and for portraits, 100 is just fine. If there are some more questions .. please do not hesitate to ask! Tom :-)

I tend to agree with Chelle on this one but on the other hand .. if she (the model) shows herself in such a way, why can't she live with some comments? Of course, there's no need to be rude and things can be said in different ways .. but it's the same with us posting images. If i can't live with comments, i should not post images. Also (to me) there's a difference in what kind of shots are done. Misha is talking of Photocorderie. His images are art in the best way (to me). The shot in discussion here is a great photography done by a great photographer, but it's more than obvious what this images speaks to (yep Jordy, i agree with ya! This time gg). Showing b*** to get attention works fine .. but in doing so, one calls for comments right on the b****, not the shot. This one is no ugly lady .. so why not take other shots of her? They both are more than good enough to do so .. but why don't they do it? We all know why ... Brenda: yep, i totally agree in what you're saying. But discussing that in the galleries won't be of any use .. me thinks. You're talking to young boys in there .. no chance to get them understanding .. let them play with their poser-gals and view nakkid b*** .. be they poser or real .. sad enough. sigh That all said, i still agree with Chelle. No need to hurt someones feelings ...

Don't want any more napkins flying in my direction so i don't say anything about your soon-to-be new toy Donald :) Still missing ISO 50 on my 300D ... and the 1D MK2s ISO 800 still look gorgeous to me. But this is not an option to me .. need some glass before ... and in 10 years we'll talk on that matter again. Thanks for the info sigh

To me, Nr.1 has (in my eyes) the most pleasing colours and the horizontical format is more of my liking for shots such as this. If it comes to compo, i'd zoom in a little on Nr. 3 or (better?) try to get closer to have that tree even bigger without loosing to much sky? But as that's not an option any more, i'd vote on Nr. 1. :-)

Yep .. getting better and better. Even me not being here for too long does notice it. Takes more and more time to browse through the gals but it's a pleasure to view all those excellent images. Thanks again for your work Misha! :-)
Thread: Anyone here used both the canon 300d and 10d? | Forum: Photography
flutteringaway evadingtheflyingnapkin About that lenses: of course the Sigma lenses are not bad (with the exception of the 50 EX macro which IS bad .. as is the EF-S from Canon to have another example). They are affordable and better that some Canon lenses of the same (low) price range. One just have to live with their limits .. or buy a Canon L-lens. Even if you like Sigma lenses (not saying that's wrong) .. there is a reason you own Canons, isn't it? :) Thanks Donald and have a great day!! :-) Tom
