Marque, My thoughts and prayers also go out to your daughter. I too, had pretty severe corneal abrasion, actually corneal erosion in my left eye after an accident. I have had 2 procedures on my eye, and am still coping with things. If you want more details, please drop me an IM. -Starkdog

Hiya Connie, I have just moved to the Seattle area, and am still unpacking stuff. I did make that swimsuit for Jessi- I just need to add a few morphs, and UV map it. I haven't forgotten you, and I apologize for the delay. -Starkdog

I'm trying to make some renders, but I found this in my archives- Starkdog.
Drape Backgrounds & Product Shot Ground by Bloodsong
(http://www.3dmenagerie.com/)
the draped backgrounds were inspired by palmiro's prop. the product shot was just for me to get that photo studio effect in my figurative works.
the product shot is actually the ground plane with morphs. turn off the ground plane, and add this prop. (or leave it on, that might work.) the product shot will replace the ground. it still works as the ground does: you can use ctrl-g to turn it on and off, it accepts ground shadows, and figures/object will drop onto it. pretty cool, huh? ;) there are a few morphs to try with it.
USAGE:
This is free for use in any image/animation, personal or commercial, without restrictions. The geometry and files included in the archive may not be mass redistributed, in whole or in part, in original or derivative or converted form, for free or for pay. (Translation: create any image animation and do whatever you want with it. You may NOT store this set of files on your web site for download or burn them to cd for distribution, whether or not you sell them or give them away. If somebody wants you to email them this archive, singly, that's fine.)
Ancillary works (such as new textures, morphs, uv mapping) may be created and distributed, for free or for pay. This archive and/or its contents may not be incorporated into the ancillary file archive.
PACKING LIST:
DRAPEBG1.PP2
DRAPEBG2.PP2
DRAPEBG3.PP2
extract to any directory under libraries/props. load them as any prop. the top of the raised platform (if there is one, #3 doesn't have one) should be about level with the ground, so you can drop figures onto it.
these props are pretty hefty in filesize. #3 is 5.8 meg -- its all those folds.
PRODUCTSHOT.PP2
extract to any directory under libraries/props. load this up to replace the ground with this morphable ground.

Hi Ziggie,
I think that I had once bought something similar. I'll dig through my archives to see if I can find it. -Starkdog
Thread: WIP - KARIN for V3 - Part 2-thanx for previous feedback, more appreciated :-) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Acadia,
Karin is half-way down on the freebies page. I'd post a link to Barrowlass' site, but I don't want to kill her bandwidth. -Starkdog

I really do like the way Karin evolved. Here is a pic of her contemplating on what to fix for dinner. The softness of her texture combined with IBL lighting is incredible. Thanks once again, -Starkdog.

OMG,
I'm glad that you are ok. One thing to keep the stink down is to stuff a wet towel under your main entry door. This will also help to keep smoke from entering as well. One thing you might want to look into, is a smoke hood. It is essentially a plastic bag you put over your head with a small air supply (compressed air in a can). You can probably find one at an Army Surplus type of store. Also, if your walls are smoke stained, you can wash them down with a TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate) solution. I wish you well. -Starkdog
Thread: OT- Happy Mabon! (Fall equinox, first day of fall) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Oh, so this is how is called the day I was born on. Yes, I know it's first day of fall and it's equinox, but wasn't familiar with that other name.
Happy Birthday, Vilian!!! I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned that. -Starkdog

Nruddock,
I'd love to see how you accomplished this. I tried doing the e-Frontier tutorial, but I ended up with Jessi stuck in the middle of a "Postmodern rendition of a DaDa statue" effect. -Starkdog
Thread: need baby hair references...please | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You could do what I do, and that is search Flikr, Webshots, etc. for candid shots, and facial shots/ portraits. I find it a valuable reference for morph ideas as well. -Starkdog
Thread: finished the modelling at last., comments and feedback needed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I really like it. She has a different shape than all the other Poser figures, which I like. From some of the wireframes you posted, she will definently behave nicely in Poser. I'm glad to see that you are really researching rigging. Besides edgeloops, rigging and morphs make the figure. Keep up the good work. -Starkdog
