You need to block out portions (if not all) of the animation palete and mark them as linear movement. the default causes moving parts to "accelerate" through a movement, often overshooting the pose you are trying for and then over compensating to get back to the next one. ......Pan....there is no "ultimate" in this....Every time I think I have seen an ultimate this or that in Poser....just about the time I THINK I can put my shoes back on....the socks go flying off again...... Scarab <-not pregnant (obviously), but barefoot, in the kitchen, having a snack standing over the sink so the crumbs dont fall on the floor and you step on them with your bare feet and....oh you know how icky that is......!

Dont know about making non poser characters "poserable", but you should be able to create your own library of poses very easily. Just go to the pose library sidebar, select "new category" (or whatever), then, if you get one of your poser characters in juuuusst the right pose you want, you can pull down that poses -> category, hit the plus sign and name the pose...it makes a thumbnail for you. be sure to selectd the character you want the pose from first, and camera in some so you dont get confused later.
