Looks like i Have the same thing. I'm in the process of downloading it. HAd to restart it a least 5 times due to a coruppted downloads thus far. But my serial number isn't showing either.

Hmm, I ordered electronic download as well and I was able to download Shade right away with now problems. I think it gives you thirty days to download it as well

You can set the 2d plane to track your perpendicular camera in the attriubes area. That'll make sure it's alwasys perpendicular to the camera.

Odd. I have win XP and this version of DAZ Studio and thus far have had no issues. I have a very similiar system to yours as well. I have a Athlon 2700 XP chip with a ATI 9700 Pro card. However, I have only been using this version of DAZ | Studio since last week. I did have a issue a couple weeks ago with a particular direct x sound driver. It stopped playing sound off CD's and mp3 files and such. A simple reboot seemed to get things working again. And I have yet to have a issue with that again.

Try some of the the castle models out there. Some of them come with some good stone textures that would work real well for this as well.

I havn't had much luck with the soft shadow effect. It makes the shadows look airbrushed on and not in a good way. I'll see if it's tuned on in the sky lab though.

Yep, I did have one. But currently I have most of them removed for speed in rendering previews. I'm starting ot add my lighting back into the scene. The worshoper is actually a statue next to the door.

You could use DAZ|Studio over at www.daz3d.com for using a poser figure. It's free to use and does comes with some free content to use. It is a beta program but that last release has gotten very stable.

That's a great castle. Just make the render larger ;) Then you'll see lots of detail :). Howver, those render times do go up quite a bit. Very nice job on the castle. What did you use to model it with?

It looks great. The water seems a bit plastic like at the base of the cliffs. Love the terrains and sky. The water is the only thing that strikes me as being off a bit for some reason.
