I haven't really used them either, but I don't tend to do alot of elaborate scenes...I'm told they make excellent back ground characters because thier poly count is much lower than the newer figures...they'd probablly make good store window maniquins(sp?) too...They should be great for feeding to dragons and lions and tigers and bears hehe where the focus is not so much on the human as the beast...ie they have thier uses but it totally depends on the artist as to wether or not to hang on to them...
Thread: i haven't any inspiration, please read me! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I couldnt get to your site, but my isp sucks, so I wouldnt worry about it...but what I do when I can't find inspiration is try to learn something new...it works out well enough for me :) and everything I learn brings my art to a whole new level...things I've learned in the last year due to lack of inspiration in order are - draping of fabric (that was fun to learn, and people really seemed to like the results of that learning experience), uv-mapper short version (this learning experience kinda proved profitable since it started the remapped dragon, and the textures for the dragon), improved hair and flesh techniques (special thank you to ellusion for helping me improve in this area), and my most recent learning experience is uv-mapper again the long version steve cox is a god and when uv-mapper pro comes out I'll be first in line for it! I guess my point is never give up due to lack of inspiration, it usually means you've gone as far as possible with what you already know and its time to learn something new...the learning process itself can be super inspirational to the point of overwhelming...and if that fails, then go watch a movie or something ;)
Thread: Hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
personally I prefer doing hair in post work ( I always use a mouse ) the post work doos (here in free stuff) are a good start if you don't want to start from scratch... but if you're doing animations, then hair models with textures and transparencies is the way to go...Anton (http://www.bbay.com/anton) has several, Jim Burton (http://www.zygote.com) has a nice pack, and there are tons of freebies out there...
Thread: Vicky Morph for large eyes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
check a few posts down, all of the faces I did for the pretty vicki have larger eyes...maybe not quite what you're looking for, but then again maybe it is...see the post about 18 postwork doos in free stuff...

Thread: Coming soon 18th Century Texturs for Antons Suit and Gown.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think anton is going to try for a powdered wig release in January as well...so look for it :)
Thread: Coming soon 18th Century Texturs for Antons Suit and Gown.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The actual models are already availble at anton's store http://www.bbay.com/anton but the textures wont be availble till January...Also included in the texture pack courtesy of anton will be a second lace fan, a lace hanky (clutched in fist) a walking stick, a bow, a lace fan with textures to match the gowns by me, and a conforming Frills Figure for the male which includes buckles for shoes, lace cuffs for sleeves, and 2 more layers of lace for the necktie...The additional items were mapped so that all the lace add-ons use the same transparency maps anton's fan, cuffs, neckties, and hanky...there are 7 different lace transparencies for the pack for those props so you can apply the same one to all the props or mix and match them according to taste...I had lots of fun working with anton on this pack, and can't wait to texture more of his gorgeous models...Next up is textures for his empire waist gown which should also be availble in january...
Thread: Dmentia - about your hairdo files! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can't wait to see them used, if they prove useful, then I'll deffinatelly post more...I'm very glad you guys like them :) I can do psd files if everyone wants that, but not everyone has Photoshop...psd files would actually be easier for me...if thats what people want I'd be glad to give it :) opinions?...psd or jpg?
Thread: Hi. Looking for middle aged - elderly | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did a p4male old guy texture full body for philc's wizard character in the online store (search forumn for embarassed to see a render of just the naked old guy), depending on clothing you're using there is an old guy in free stuff with just hands and face textured...I think the wizard at Fairy woods is a head and hands as well...Check morph world for morphs to make p4male look older...There is a nice old vicki texture in free stuff I beleive maybe two...don't know about poser female or michael...

Thread: Vicki: Ugly duckling? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
the only post work on her face was a bit of blurring around the edges, and a few more high lights and shadows in eyes and around hair line...the texture is my winter texture...it and the morphs account for the way she looks...the post work was minimal on her face...the recent portraits are here at renderosity in my gallery, I haven't added them to my site yet...I thought this one(mab) kinda reminded me of Linda Carter a little, another(dmetria) kinda reminded me of Loni Anderson, and the Dmentia one kinda reminded me of the actress who played rose dawson in titanic...as I said before, they all used stock morphs, it takes a bit of tweaking, but honestlly there is a beautiful woman in there some where :)

vicki's not really so bad...I did several portraits of her recentlly they are here in my gallery...and I didn't use a single morph outside the morphs she came with...Morphworld has alot of morphs for her, and I've seen some pretty busty/cleavage renders of her at Wytches&Wyrms(SP?)... The 7of9 Character I did of for her has the 7of9/Jeri morph included in it which makes here eyes much larger and her face more natural...also I did a seasonal add on pack for my seasonal textures the add-ons are in free stuff and include the seasonal morph...but there's lots of stuff out there :) Here is one of the portraits...This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
