Nothing in the rules mentioned using another's design but I thought I'd ask anyway. And no, I haven't started anything yet. I was planning on doing it anyway so we'll see if I finish by the end of the challenge. Thanks for the input.

thanks for the info on animated textures. I downloaded some a while back expecting that I would have to apply them frame-by-frame. I couldn't get imageready to split them into frames though so I kind of gave up on that. Here's the link to where I got them if you don't already know about it: http://www.i-tex.de/vid/samples.htm

I like the robot. Isn't HDRI a special image format that isn't supported in Bryce? Like it holds more color information than the actual resolution of the image or something? where did you get the map?
