Unfortunately Wolfie has hit the nail on the head. A design job of any kind isn't so much fun when someone else isn't just telling you what they want, but how they want it to look - even though you know it won't look right and they'll probably blame you for that too.... I went through that with a company when I was in training at 17 using Quark etc. to design adverts and got sick of it so fast it's unreal - I totally went off it as a hobby for a few years. Someone I know got to know a local photographer at her sisters' wedding, and ended up going to shoots with him for a few months to see what it was really like - might be worth a try having a word with a couple of them so you see what the whole job really means, warts and all. (",) btw, good luck whichever way you go, and don't worry about making a lifelong decision at your age - I'm 35 and STILL don't know what I want to be!!

GRRRR!!!! What about when you don't get the chance to archive the buggers?!? When one of our company vehicles (70+ cars) has an accident, I'm the gopher who takes the pictures of the damage for the insurance claims. So, after the bout of snow this morning and the anticipated shunt I toddles myself down to the garage and takes some pics. Normally I just upload them at home and print them at work, but today we decided to cut the timescale and bought a card reader. My 128mb card at the moment had some un-loaded pictures of my Mini and the work in progress. Sets the card reader up, puts the card in - Card Not Readable error. Puts it in camera.... Card Not Formatted. AAAAAAAARGH!!! Formats card. Goes down, more pics. Comes back. Decides not to hot-swap the card into the reader this time. Pics there, last one claims not in the right format. Puts it back in the camera to view it. Camera has none of it and locks all the pictures. Format card. Third time lucky. Goes back out, more pics, same error as at first, card has to be re-formatted. Last set of pics, I decide to upload at home. Tomorrow the reader is going back. Trouble is, it's gouged 2 lines into the back of my 128 mb card. Just viewed them, and one of the pics is corrupt...... Boy am I gonna have fun in the shop tomorrow. Prepare for evidence photo's of bloodied hands after I murder someone.... (",)

When Pat has the addresses she's gonna pass the towns/countries to me to create a world map again... this time I think we'll have a laugh charting his progress ;-) Like Sheila says, we still need to confirm the 3rd challenge (assuming we all agree to the other two?). Ideally we should have something to try for even if it's not necessarily possible - like get a pic of him with a local celebrity / footballer or anything like that? Get a photo of him with a member of the local constabulary? Or we could have a random list of colours in with him, and you have to take a pic of him alongside something predominantly (sp?) the next colour on the list? Come on, ideas people..... (",)
