Speaking of Uber Environment in DAZ, and I'm just a clueless newb here who doesn't understand all the intricacies of lighting in DAZ & Poser, but I tried Omnifreak's Uber lights a couple nights ago with both the Light Plane & Light Disc, and used the 4x(?) highest quality setting. After it finally finished rendering, I got a great, well lit, very clean, non-grainy image, but the problems was/is that the very large and superbright square or circle shows up underneath Vicky in the render. How do I get the beautifully lit subject without the big white light showing up underneath her?

If by "shaders tab" you mean Shader Mixer & Shader Builder under Windows>Tab the best I can tell the color chosen is the default 255 255 255 which is just white.
Or do you mean Shader Surface? Because all I see there are the Genesis clothes & props originally included with DS4 and some lights, but no indication that blue is chosen as a light color for any of them.

Okay, thanks. If it truly doesn't matter which I load first, I may just do it in the order Taryn's creator mentioned in the ReadMe. I just wanted to be sure first cause I had heard/read conflicting info on which is the correct 1st step. Also, because some use Poser instead of DAZ, I wasn't sure if that was the reason for the conflicting info.
I felt like I needed to gather more info here in the DAZ forum first b4 getting started on that.

Quote - If you are using the PowerLoader script (if you et a dialogue when you bring the figure in) you don't need to add the morphs as a separate step.
But what do you recommend first Richard, loading V4 with Powerloader, or A4, which I think also has a Powerloader?
The character in question in this case is Taryn by SASE for A4. Although this could possibly also apply to any A4 based character.

O.....K. Well, I know this. I'm definitely keeping both the Scene files folder and DAZ 3D with all its many many many included folders like the Data & Textures.
One way or the other, I don't want to lose any of my important content.

Well, I know I need DAZ Studios to open those Scene files with. But not sure why all the items wouldn't already be in that saved Scene file if it was saved with all the characters, hair, poses & props and other objects. Doesn't all that make up the Scene?
At any rate, I've also got the DAZ 3D folder backed up on multiple drives separately. I'd rather keep the Scene files consolidated in their own folder outside of there that's not within another folder within another folder, within another folder, within...

Thanks. What I've been doing is saving my DAZ Scenes in a separate folder on another drive, not only for more space, but in case my C drive ever fails, or I need to delete my DAZ3D folder in Documents or uninstall DAZ for whatever reason, all my Scene files won't be deleted with it.
So they are on a separate drive. And also backed up for good measure on an external drive, and 2 large flash drives. And a BD-R.

At the moment, Meipe & Xameva's Perfect V4 for use with their Perfect body parts series.
But later, perhaps Carrara.
I'd like to be able to export my characters, particularly V4 with hair, clothes & props included without losing anything in the process. Whether to another program or within DS.

So was I right in that 2nd line of my message or is it something else?
I would kind of like the ability to retouch Vicky with Photoshop tools of some of those little scabs & scrapes, like that small cut on her upper left hand or a few on both legs once & for all before I ever make the main renders. Getting tired of having to do that each time after the fact. Would like to be able to retouch the Master file so I won't have to retouch later countless times.

Thanks, that helps!
But if you run across any more women's watches give me a heads up.
