Very interesting! I was upgrading to Carrara 5 pro and would love to have a link with DazStudio exactly at the same way they did for Bryce. Lets wait and see!
Thread: Daz Lighting help sought.. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Hi there is a simple thing you can do to help to improve quickly. When you load a spot or distant light you can change the camera view and look throw your light. This allows you to use the same displacements icons in the “view” window as you use for the camera. So you can see where you are pointing the lights. You then have simply to adjust the lights strengths and colures.

Thanks for your replay. I could notice that there was already 146 downloads in only one day! This is the best gift I could get and also motivates my to continue to do some modelling. Now I am curious to see what will be made with it.

Thread: tell me about displacement? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Displacement map can be made in any paint program. The aim of it is to displace the geometries of the object you are applying it. Bump maps are only displacing the surfaces but the border will remain unchanged. You can fin a more precise explanation in the DazStudio Artist guide on page 117 and 118.

Thread: How does D|S pass off information to 3Delight during render? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I do not have a clear answer and believe that the forum at Daz would be a better place to post your question but it could be a memory problem. Did you render to a file or in a new window? Jacques
Thread: Rendering | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Is this with all scenes or only a specific one? Maybe you have something complicated to calculate at that point and the computer simply needs lot of time to render the area.
Thread: DS Scenes will not re-load properly. Why is this? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Sorry I am simply late in reading this post. I also have this problem but it appears only with some conforming figures when you use the fit to option. As soon as you reload a scenes saved the scaling of the conforming objects a doubled. To correct this you will have to rescale the % of all the conforming figure to the % used by the main figure (in your case V3) by hand. I know it is painful but I did not find any other way doing it. Hope this helps.

Actually there is no possibility to create bones in DazStudio, but to have some movable props you can build your object in different parts that can be rotated after. A nice example is "Brut Morphing Robot" by MCV that you can download for free here at renderosity. The Robot was created 100% in DazStudio using the primitive plug-in. Some morphs were also added for linear movements. I do not know if this will help for your props but it could be a solution. JacquesThread: Lighting & pre/post rendering | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Happy new year to you to! Depending on your video card you have a Maximum Number of Lights that can be active in the OpenGL view at a given time. If you add more than this number of lights to the scene, they will not contribute to the lighting in the interactive view. They will however contribute to lighting in rendered images. To know the number you have available with you specific video card go to the Help menu and choose about your video card. For the bustier try to change the diffuse colour, the ambient colour and strength to lower value it maybe will help. Jacques

There is a tutorial made by SnowSultan here at Renderosity. He was using DazStudio for the render. You will surly find some answer there.Thread: problem with eyes. I'm desperated | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Sorry I did not understand this at the start. When you say the international beauties texture4 do you mean the Morphs inj? If this is the one you should try to lower the morphing value that affect your modell after selecting the head but at the zoom you use here it will need some post work anyway. Maybe somebody else will have another idea. Sorry not to be able to help more.

You can find it in the parameter window under "fit to". The default is set to "none" but by selecting the "none" you will have a menu where you can choose the figure to conform to.
Thread: Anybody getting blank opengl renders? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I have a GeForce PCX 5750/PCI/SSE2 on my system and do not have this plank opengl render. I just wonder if you have your scene correct in DazStudio as this is also an opengl screen. Did you try to play with the render settings using the fast time render to see if things are changing? Jacques

To be honest I also did not believe that this could be so easy to do and this is exactly why I wanted to share. I am convinced that there are lots of talent people that dose not have the software needed to model simple props and this could be a simple way to start. And again at top of it if you have participated to the Beta testing the needed D-Former was available for free!
