Five sections will give us a lot of freedom to pose! I understand that it's not ready yet, but since you didn't mention it, don't forget to transmap the middle line also. Good work! Nandus
Thread: Who made those wings? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks guys. I myself was almost shure they were Housaki's. I'm about to do the final rendering and uploading the image to Renderotica's gallery around next tuesday. Look for "The After-life of a 3D Artist" Nandus
Thread: how to avoid sharp shadows? | Forum: Bryce
I always duplicate my spots and offset them a bit. That way you get softer shadows. Don't forget to halve the intensities and adjust the falloffs.
Thread: Beware!! Bongo attacks again! | Forum: Community Center
Kate, Nothing wrong with Vue users posting their work here!!! I found Bongo's post because I was trying to lern more about Vue d'Esprit. BTW it looks a great software, multithreaded and all. Pitty it seams to lack 3D clouds & fogs, but I saw some quite amazing images at Vue's gallery. I just find Bongo too intense is his "Holy Quest" to convince us all, something like: Hey guys! there is life after death (MC's?), alliens are everywere and Elvis is alive! That's why I posted that message as a joke, to protect the pure brycean souls from the sad true that may exist a better and cheaper application around :-) Nandus

Thread: Bad news from MC? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My point is that if Poser and Bryce are sold to different companies, our hopes for an cheap integrated environment are gone. To my knowlege, the only way to animate characters in landscapes is trought WB2 or WCS + Character Studio + MAX and that means a lot of money!

Thread: Carrara Will Ship........letter from an Carrara Engineer | Forum: Carrara
Geep, Worst of all is that we are the engine accelerating that market vortice! We are always pressing hard for novelties, for a software upgrade, for a faster CPU, for better cars and so on... There is a saying: beware what you ask for, you may get it! I remember the times when people used the same car and the same refrigerator for more then 10 years. As an engineer, I know very well the pressures over design people to build things to last the warranty period plus 1 day! We, as humans, were not designed to whithstand that kind of pressure. The end result is collective stress, decreasing efficiency and very wealty shrinks!

Unfortunatelly the concept of Humanity was replaced by that plague named Greed. I am not against the healthy net gain that results from honest work, but we are all living in the vortice of profit, and I'm really scared about what life will be like at the end of it. Most probably the downsizing of CIVILIZATION. I wish luck for you all.
Thread: Poser & Bryce integration? | Forum: Poser Technical
So, the next question is: when MC plans to release Bryce5? Perhaps I'll need to move to Animatek's WB2. It's a top landscape software that has a plugin to interface MAX. You may fully integrate and render MAX scenes over WB2 landscapes with shadows, reflections, etc. However, the character problem remains - how to animate Poser characters inside MAX? Grey proposes a way out in post 27 at the 3D Animation Forum: "Since Poser 3, you could export Sequenced Meshs for Anims. Any 3D App that supports Morph Targets then becomes Compatable, as you can use the Frame One Mesh as the Base, and the rest of the sequenced Meshes for KeyFramed Morph Targets!" I haven't tried that one yet. Any ideas?

Great work! That's the wet hair prop I was looking for. If you go for wet hair, try to bring the front strands closer to the forehead.
