Thread: Correcting Perspective Digitally | Forum: Photography
If it's not sharp on the negative, I don't care how many filters and tools you use, You will NEVER be able to correct for an unsharp exposure. especially compared to a view camera ; )

In case anyone cares, and would like to find out more on this topic, This distortion is called "Keystoning" In the world of Architectural photography it is a HUGE No,No. I have never used photogimps tools to correct this. (have always been lucky enough to have access to a view camera) ASalina......looks like you did a great job with your available tools. It's good to know that they are Quite useable. (can't always pack a view camera around)

Any one remember Art Wolfe? A Wildlife/Nature photographer who did similar things with herds of animals etc. There was a big uproar about the use of digital photography and the truth behind the image. blah, blah, blah. Anyway... your image reminded me of that, with your cloned friend and all. very well done. BTW, Arts photographs may have been manipulated, but they were still very compelling images.

Thread: To those who doubt my power, fall on your knees! Oh yeah, and GOLD!!!!!!!! | Forum: Photography
Both countries had a EXCELLENT Olympic tounament. What a GREAT showcase for the sport of hockey. I'm an American, but feel great about the fact that Canada won the gold. Plus the fact that Mario Lemieux has always been one of my Hockey heroes. (Gretzky too). The US wanted to win, Canada HAD to win. congrats.
Thread: To those who develop their own films. | Forum: Photography
Looks like I'm too late...I use t-max films as my film of choice for almost all of my black and white shooting. I have never used t-max developer. HC-110 works very well. Especially since you seem like you want to cut down on the chemicals. HC-110 works well for a ton of different films. Lots of good charted info regarding temperature and development times etc.... Oh well, I'm interested to hear what your experience with the t-max developer is like. good luck.

A GREAT PHOTO HISTORY BOOK: "Hisotry of Photography" by Beaumont Newhall Paperback Revised edition (October 1982) Little Brown & Co (Pap); ISBN: 0870703811 ; Dimensions (in inches): 0.90 x 11.02 x 8.27 Beaumont Newhall has been involved with photography for years working with people like Adams, Stieglitz, etc. This is the most comprehensive and well written Photo history book I have seen. I'm sure there are others, But this guy and his wife have actually experienced a good part of the History. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED.

Actually this has WAY more options.... Another kick a** plug-in for photoshop is called Test Strip http://www.vividdetails.com (con: $$$$) There is a demo however. I'm glad I bought this one though...great for color photography... Color balance ring-arounds, exposure tests, tons of options.

Or....just look in Photoshop>filters>noise..... ; ) Actually this probably has more options...

TAKE IT, TAKE IT,TAKE IT. This is a VERY hard time in the economy...not only in the US, but elsewhere.... The tech industries and the VISUAL MEDIA industries have taken a HUGE hit. If I were you, I would snatch that offer up in a Heartbeat....could be your only opportunitiy for a while.....seriously...... but then again, life is not worth living if you can not be happy and enjoy what you are doing.
Thread: Update on Child Camera! | Forum: Photography
