Thread: Transfer Material to Texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you, Laurie, Phil, Jestmart and Shawn.
It's clear that I'm asking more of Poser than she can do.
I'll try and accomplish my goal by learning how to texture properly or adding sticker maps since simply adding materials as a second skin isn't accomplishing my goal.
Poser a wonderful program but it's not able to do everything. Yet.
Perhaps in the 2014 version?

Baking is used to make an actual texture map.
Roadkill is used to unwrap Textures. Is there a way I can unwrap my mesh below, retain the cool looking textures (by Sveva and available in the Renderosity Marketplace) and then add the items that I've included in my notes below.
I want to use this a second skin. I'm all about second skins!
It looks like I should get Roadkill. I also have Sveva's Texturing Tutorial and help from you experts.
This time I've included a render so you can see what I'm talking about.
Thank you all for your help.

First off, thank you for replying. I had to look up "Baking" and came up with this.
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Manual/Render/Bake
So basically I can apply the textures to body parts, such as skin torso, skin knees, skin neck, skin hands etc.
I then use AO lighting, something simple to get the lighting results I want.
Next I can export the cr2 to blender. Blender supports baking.
I'm getting a bit confused at this point. After lunch, I'll render the image and some notes.
I have Poser 9 and CS2 and Hexagon (which I haven't used. Very Confusing).
I am just now understanding why one would apply textures to a square...My mind is bending.
Thanks for you help. Please stick with me.
However, the article states I must unwrap the mesh. I looked up Roadkill
Thread: Shoe Adaptation | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Phil and Bagginsbill. It's like getting a reply from Lucas and Tarentino. After 5 years I'm still a novice compared to you two. Thanks for replying to this plebe!
@PhilC. The two Figures in Question are V4 & A3. I was pleased to get the Converter up and running from reading your notes with no problems! However, until I purchase their expansion packs, it seems I will be a standstill. The First of the Month, rent is due and you know what that means! I'll try and purchase at least one of them on my rent free payday, If I can purchase both V4 and A3 at once, I will.
I agree that the Shoe Converter seems like the best idea. Some of those shoes are quite detailed and that is their selling point. I need to get those details in their as well as their morphs. It may seem like a bit pricey but when you consider it's power and long term use, it's quite a deal. The great shoe makers like AL3D and Arrin aren't going to make these incredible Heels and sultry sandals for Aiko 3 so it's up to me. The shoe converter could be the best deal there is. I'm not a novice but I'm no Snow Sultan or Ironman13 either.
@Bagginsbill. I'm going to try this method of stretching the V4 Shoes to fit Aiko 3's less than anatomically correct feet (along with Dark Seal's Foot Morph), and then Load Morph Target etc. It would be nice to simply dial in the change. Even Save the Morph so all of the sexy shoes and boots could contain the morph and I could use full outfits of V4 with my favorite character instead of mixing and matching and retexturing.
Once again, thank you both!

Quote - Whelp, It's awesome. The downside? I "invented" this about four years ago, in my head, and never made a move for lack of know-how.
The shame is that there is not enough of a public demand for this, so it will always be an expensive specialty tool.
There's more than the IPAD out there. As long as you don't steal from the company maybe you can still make it work.
Also, 750 bucks is out the range of a lot people. Maybe you can do it cheaper!

Quote - So spent this weekend trying to improve my Poser skills and modeling skills and created this nice dynamic fur coat for Miki 4.
Since I have rarely ever used the Hair Room, decided to see if I could give Miki a fur coat.
Amazing! I just asked if anyone knew of a fur coat or a mink stole!
What's this about a python script for Fur?

You and I are about the same age so we know the simple elegance and sexuality of a mink stole or a mink coat and the fun of a Bill Ward drawing!

Thread: OT. So long, farewell, goodbye | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I hope you reconsider.
I hope you return.
I know of age discrimination and the callous nature of some people.
I try and not let negative comments and events affect positive ones. Yet we all have buttons that can be pushed.
We, as a community, are better with you than without you.
Let me say, thank you for your time, generosity and sharing of your enormous talent and intelligence. Once more, I hope you return. Whether you do or choose not to, I wish you only the best in any future endeavor.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I hope it was as theraputic for you as it was enlightening for me.
Thanks for sharing your incredible talent and vision with us. It is my belief that the wishes of the artist must be the last say in it's use and distribution. You should do as you please with your work. Share it. Limit it or give carte blanche. Your choice.
Thank you once more for work and your comments. Welcome back.

Thread: But our members do things they download? | Forum: Freestuff
I understand your question.
Would you prefer a LIKE feature with your download as they have in facebook posts?
Also, I have on occasion thanked artists for making something that I truly needed and didn't even ask. While I can not speak for everyone, I know that if I see an artist give away items, it entices me to purchase items as well. When I contacted the artist to thank them or to comment, I have only been ignored twice in the last 4 years.
Let me speak right away for all other artists that downloaded your freebies and said nothing.
Thank you. Thank you very much. Your hard work and generosity is truly appreciated. The quality of your models is truly appreciated. 3d Modeling has arrived as an artform and your work is art. True art.
Once more, Merci. Merci bien.
