Huolong, I have the cords as part of the mesh because they didn't move at all well any other way. The insignia are smart props. I DO have the jacket mesh without them or the collor trim, as a seperate mesh. PheonixRising, I can eleminate the "seam" at the mesh level. I was trying for a suit jaket look and was surprise by the way it stretched aroung the shoulder. I'm wondering if fooling in the joint editor might bring it back to the point of the shoulder, but I hven't found the right combination, if there is one. THe cording floating may be an optical illusion. Looking at it in wire freame it seems to be partially imbedded in the sleeve mesh all of the way around. I'll double (triple) check it. Thanks for the compliments! Little Dragon, I think the first movie had some thnigs going for it, I actually liked the more art deco feel to the whole thing. I think the stillsuits were closer to my concept from the book. I liked the SFTV version because it used a mini-series format and followed the book more acurately for it's story line. Of course neither really got ornithopters right! I want to take a crack at those sometime in the future. Pheonixrising, thanks for the tips! As for the skin under the clothes, I gues my idea is that if the clothes mostly work like the real world (over the skin) then they are "right". I'm afraid that if I negelct the skin underneath too much I make the clothng move in noe realistc ways. The other reason is for designs that allow the skin to show through when yoou want it too. Things like "ripped" cothing etc. ad easie with tranparencies than entire new models. Still I think it's ok if you do need to hide some areas. Without collision detection for morphs, it's a nessacery evil. It just needs to be document for the users. mike

JDexter, From my own playing with Tailor... The Tailor program is used to move the MORPHS from Mike to the clothes, not the character to the cloths, so Mike appears in his original form. Once Mike has been loaded, load the clothing you want to adapt. Move the morphs that you would change to createe your character, from Mike to the clothes. Once Tailir has created the new Morphs in the clothing you can test the changes by clicking on the Morph, first where it is listed under Mike. Doing this you will see a small window appear just below the menu bar and between the list on the left and the figure display. Changing the numbers in this window is the same as changing the morph dial in poser, you should see the appropriate part of Mike change. Now click on the corresponding Morph shown under the clothing. The same window shows up, change it to a number matching the morph in Mike. The appropriate section of the clothing should now change to match the reshaped portion of Mike. I keep a copy of Vicki and a copy of Mike that I use MorphManager on. I move the morph I want to work with onto the appropriate figure then use it to alter clothing in Tailor. If I'm trying to match a character I save that character as a morph target and add it to the Mike or Vicki copy , then use that to modify the cloths. THat way when I bring the clothing back into Poser I just set the morphs to 1 and it , mostly, matches the character. I mostly ignore the LOOK of the figure and the cloths in Tailor, other than to spot check changes. Sheesh, I re-read this and it sounds confusing to me. What we need is a tutorial with screen shots. Unfortunately I just don't have time to try and do this before this weekend. I hope some of this helps a little bit. Maybe some of the Gurus can state it a little clearer. mike

Cimerone, You certainly can make new characters from the P4 woman (Posette) and the P4 man (Dork). Many people have (and still are) making characters for them every bit as good as any made for Victoria or Michael. Some people prefer to use the newer models because of the higher polygon count. In many ways this allows more versitility. As for why so many characters... well many different people with many different tastes, I guess. Everyone wants to populate their poser world with a variety. mike

From the bit I've played with the program on my own clothing I seem to see several items that may affect clothing makers who want to use this... 1. The closer the clothing item follows the GROUP outlines of the target character the better. In other words the edge of the groups in the clothing should parallel the edge of the groups on the character, as close as possible. The "shape" of the mesh "inside" the group doesn't seem to matter except as outlined below. 2. A higher mesh "density" seems to translate into a "smoother" looking morph. Low density models seem to ripple badly when shrunk or expanded. 3. Triangulating the clothing object seems to help lower density items make a "smoother" morph, but not as much as a higher mesh count. The above observations are based on my own tests and observations. I am not affiliated with Codetwister in any way. In all this is an amazing program. I expect that, as it gets into wider use it will only improve. Codetwister has added a significant tool to the Poser community. mike

Well, I added the line in and the demo seemed to work. I tried using it on some home made clothes and it looked like the morphs tranfered. Of, course I couldn't save anyhting soooo, now it's time to buy the program and try it for real. mike

Traveler, as a SCA armor and student of the art I want to compliment you on the accuracy of your armor! It is, absolutely, the most accurate I've seen to date! One small item though, I notice on your original picture that the straps for the greaves are missing. Just thought I'd point this out, in case it was an oversite, as I said, otherwise this is a phenominal model! and one I intend to purchase! mike
