I download and did the tutorial for UVmapping on the logfire crate. All was nicely done and also checked it in Poser-Pro of my work. Now, trying to work on this mech for texturing, as some prob saw already in another thread. See Pic http://www.nukesylo-thirteen.net/comsat/download.php?id=676 This is the 3DS file of the mech (Vulture) Their are 75 Parts in the 3DS file, which I convert to an Obj in Poser-Pro, so I can do UVmapping in the UVmapper. Now, lets say I just wants to do the arms. How would I just do the arms for texturing? I was told to tile, so when I tile, what do I save the BMP file at? When ever I do a part or all in a BMP file. this is one of my results, when I do one part of the UVmapping. http://www.nukesylo-thirteen.net/comsat/download.php?id=682 I just want to texture the Arms, Left/Right Torso, legs (Upper/Lower). I have the numbers for each part. The other parts will be black and color coded 105 (R/G/B) I am totally new to UVmapping and maybe my questions are dump. This UVmapping program didn't come with a manual at all, so what am I suppose to think. The tutorial was ok, but only to get a step on things.

Wow...UVMapping is a pain. I have 75 Parts in the 3DS file and I am trying to divide the whole mech into parts for mapping (jpg).

Those Tutorials are very nice. :-) Their is info, that the UVmapper needs a "Obj" file to make texture files. All I have is the 3DS file in Poser. So, I guess I need a 3D Studio Max Program to make these Obj files.

WOW!..Shadownet....very powerfull stuff. ----------------------------------------------------------- Unzipped; This is what I do. 1.) I select a V3 Character. 2.) I go into Pose obtions menu select the character, then Inject the body figure. Then the Skin MAT. Now for the clothing which is tops for the character. 3.) I then Conform to:Figure 1. I then maybe do some taper, scale, or even yet (depending on the outfit),Object then properties, checking off "Visible". 4.) Then breast size "8" is what really annoying. On the default V3 character, can get away with clothing that fit very nice. But soon as I inj body to get the character, the battle begins. :-) -----------------------------------------------------------
