Hmmm. I suppose it might be an attempt at something like dA's Daily choices. I have seen them choose images that are 2 years old or more.

I agree! Or does that mean we will have to look at that darn right hand column laid over all the images bigger than 800 pixels wide? It used to work to scroll over to see the full image when it was larger but that has not been right for a couple of weeks! Please fix this!

Each artist uses the tools and media that suit their artistic vision. Do I prefer oils or watercolors or maybe even alkyds? How about brush vs. palette knife or even fingers. It has always seemed to me that the vision is the key. I am always delighted to see a diversity of programs and finishing techniques on this site, it tells me that fractals are alive and well.

I have tried FE, going back to it again and again, but I just can't seem to handle the way the color palette works. When I started using UF, it seemed very intuitive and easy for me to get the color the way I want it. I am always amazed at your images, Jenny. You certainly get incredible color out of them.

I don't think my math is any better, but my love for fractal art has made me very happy. I am glad to have been touched by his work.

I am not a math person, so I can't answer this, but it might help if you give a bit more detail. What software are you using? What field are you talking about? What formula is it? Answers to these might get a better response.

The Archives are now fully updated. Should you find a bad link please sitemail me with the details.
You may find some single images missing. Occasionally people remove their images or even their whole Galleries. These will not be fixed.
Again, thanks for your patience!

Some time ago my computer completely broke down and when it was fixed, I could not access the backroom to update anything. A technical wizard got me back up and running, and I have been madly updating the Archive, and I am nearly done. It should be completed by the weekend.
Thanks for all your patience

I know this challenge has not gone well, but let's vote on it and move on! Maybe we can really come up with a great theme for the next one. The voting will be in this thread, after this entry. You get to choose your 3 favorite entries, giving each of them 3, 2 or 1 points. Remember, you are choosing an entry, not an artist. If someone has posted more than one entry, you need to indicate which is your choice.
Your vote should look something like this:
Inter - "Action" - 3 points
Name - "Title" - 2 points
come-to - "Gether" - 1 point
Feel free to nominate Honorable Mentions or make comments.

Actually, I was looking for any ideas that might draw more attention and/or ways to let more members know we even exist. :b_cool: Thanks for all the interesting ideas so far... I am still open to more!

I am thinking that suggestions are needed here! Does anyone have any? It feels like most people are more in their comfort zones when they participate in a challenge specific to their preferred software. This arena is so much fun because it allows so many different types of expressions. Interest seems to come and go here, and lately even my going to all of the relevant forums and challenging members to come here has not been working.
I will keep my thinking hat on, but if you have any suggestions... or even want to start a challenge thread here with a great idea, please be my guest :D
